Jubileus 27

1E as palavras de Esaú, seu filho mais velho, foram contadas a Rebeca em um sonho, e Rebeca mandou chamar seu filho mais novo Jacó e disse a ele:

1And the words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebecca in a dream, and Rebecca sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him:<br>"Behold Esau thy brother will take vengeance on thee so as to kill thee.

2"Eis que teu irmão se vingará de ti com intenção de te matar."

2Now, therefore, my son, obey my voice, and arise and flee thou to Laban, my brother, to Haran,

3Agora, pois, meu filho, obedeça minha voz. Levante e fuja para Labão, meu irmão, para Arã, e fique com ele alguns dias até que a ira de teu irmão passe e ele remova sua ira de você, e esqueça tudo o que você fizeste, então eu resgatarei você de lá."

3and tarry with him a few days until thy brother's anger turneth away,

4E Jacó disse: "Eu não tenho medo. Se ele quer me matar eu o matarei."

4and he remove his anger from thee, and forget all that thou hast done; then I will send and fetch thee from thence."

5Mas ela disse a ele: "Não me deixe ser privada de ambos meus filhos em um dia."

5And Jacob said: "I am not afraid; if he wisheth to kill me, I will kill him."<br>But she said unto him: "Let me not be bereft of both my sons on one day."

6E Jacó disse a Rebeca sua mãe: "Eis que tu sabes que meu pai tornouse velho, e não enxerga porque os olhos deles estão opacos, e se eu o deixar isto será mal aos olhos deles, porque eu o deixo e parto de ti, e meu pai ficará irado, e me amaldiçoará. Eu não irei. Somente quando ele me enviar eu irei."

6And Jacob said to Rebecca his mother: "Behold, thou knowest that my father hath become old, and doth not see because his eyes are dull,

7E Rebeca disse a Jacó: "Eu irei falar com ele, e ele te enviará."

7and if I leave him it will be evil in his eyes, because I leave him and go away from you, and my father will be angry, and will curse me.

8E Rebeca foi e disse a Isaque: "Eu odeio minha vida por causa das duas filhas de Hefe as quais Esaú tomou por esposas. Se Jacó tomar esposa dentre as filhas desta terra tais come estas, porque motivo eu continuarei a viver? Porque as filhas de Canaã são más."

8I will not go; when he sendeth me, then only will I go."

9E Isaque chamou Jacó e o abençoou, e o admoestou dizendo a ele:

9And Rebecca said to Jacob: "I will go in and speak to him, and he will send thee away."

10"Não tome por esposa nenhuma das filhas de Canaã. Levante e vá para a Mesopotâmia, para a casa de Bethuel, o pai de tua mãe, e tome para ti uma esposa de lá, das filhas de Labão, irmão de tua mãe.

10And Rebecca went in and said to Isaac: "I loathe my life because of the two daughters of Heth, whom Esau hath taken him as wives; and if Jacob take a wife from among the daughters of the land such as these, for what purpose do I further live; for the daughters of Canaan are evil."

11E que o Deus Todo Poderoso te abençoe, cresça e multiplique de modo que tu venhas a se tornar um grupo de nações, e dê a ti as bênçãos de meu pai Abraão, para ti e para tua descendência após ti, e que tu possas herdar a terra de tua peregrinação e toda a terra que Deus deu a Abraão. Vá, meu filho, em paz."

11And Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and admonished him and said unto him: "Do not take thee a wife of any of the daughters of Canaan;

12E Isaque enviou Jacó, e ele foi para a Mesopotâmia, para Labão, o filho de Bethua o Sírio, o Irmão de Rebeca, mãe de Jacó.

12arise and go to Mesopotamia, to the house of Bethuel, thy mother's father, and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban, thy mother's brother.

13E aconteceu depois de Jacó ter chegado na Mesopotâmia, que o espírito de Rebeca se entristeceu por seu filho , e ela chorou.

13And God Almighty bless thee and increase and multiply thee that thou mayest become a company of nations,

14E Isaque disse a Rebeca: "Minha Irmã, não chores por causa de Jacó, meu filho, porque ele foi em paz e em paz ele retornará.

14and give thee the blessings of my father Abraham, to thee and to thy seed after thee, that thou mayest inherit the land of thy sojournings and all the land which God gave to Abraham: go, my son, in peace."

15O Deus altíssimo o preservará de todo o mal, e estará com ele, porque Ele não o abandonará em todos os seus dias.

15And Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Mesopotamia, to Laban the son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebecca, Jacob's mother.

16Porque eu sei que os dias deles serão prósperos em todas as coisas onde quer que ele ande, até que ele retorne em paz para nós, e nós o veremos em paz.

16And it came to pass after Jacob had arisen to go to Mesopotamia that the spirit of Rebecca was grieved after her son, and she wept.

17And Isaac said to Rebecca: "My sister, weep not on account of Jacob, my son; for he goeth in peace, and in peace will he return.

18The Most High God will preserve him from all evil, and will be with him; for He will not forsake him all his days;<br>For I know that his ways will be prospered in all things wherever he goeth, until he return in peace to us, and we see him in peace.

19Fear not on his account my sister, for he is on the upright path and he is a perfect man: and he is faithful and will not perish. Weep not."

20And Isaac comforted Rebecca on account of her son Jacob, and blessed him.

21E ele sonhou naquela noite, e eis que uma escada se apoiou sobre a terra, e o topo dela alcançava o céu, e eis que os anjos do Senhor subiam e desciam dela. E eis que o Senhor estava sobre ela.

21And Jacob went from the Well of the Oath to go to Haran on the first year of the second week in the forty-fourth Jubilee,

22E ele falou com Jacó e disse: "Eu sou o Senhor Deus de Abraão, teu pai, e Deus de Isaque. A terra que tu estás dormindo, eu a darei a ti e a tua descendência após ti.

22and he came to Luz on the mountains, that is, Bethel, on the new moon of the first month of this week, and he came to the place at even

23E tua descendência será como o pó da terra, e tu crescerás para oeste e para leste, para o norte e para o sul, e em ti e em tua descendência todas as famílias das nações serão abençoadas.

23and turned from the way to the west of the road that night: and he slept there; for the sun had set.

24And he took one of the stones of that place and laid it (at his head) under the tree, and he was journeying alone, and he slept.

25E Jacó acordou de seu sono, e disse: "Verdadeiramente esse lugar é a casa de Deus, e eu não sabia." E ele estava com medo e disse: "Terrível é este lugar que não é outro senão a casa de Deus, e este é o portal do céu."

25And he dreamt that night, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven, and behold, the angels of the Lord ascended and descended on it: and behold, the Lord stood upon it.

26E Jacó levantou-se cedo pela manhã, e tomou a pedra que ele tinha posto debaixo de sua cabeça e a colocou de pé como um pilar, e ele derramou azeite no topo dela. E ele chamou aquele lugar de Betel, mas o nome do lugar era Luz anteriormente.

26And He spake to Jacob and said: "I am the Lord God of Abraham, thy father, and the God of Isaac; the land whereon thou art sleeping, to thee shall I give it, and to thy seed after thee.

27E Jacó fez um voto com Deus dizendo: "Se o Senhor for comigo e me guardar neste caminho que eu irei, e me der pão para comer e vestes para vestir, de modo que eu volte para a casa de meu pai em paz, então o Senhor será meu Deus, e esta pedra que eu coloquei de pé como pilar e como um sinal neste lugar será a casa do Senhor, e de tudo o que tu me der eu darei o dízimo a ti, meu Deus."

27And thy seed will be as the dust of the earth, and thou wilt increase to the west and to the east, to the north and the south, and in thee and in thy seed will all the families of the nations be blessed.

28—

28And behold, I shall be with thee, and shall keep thee whithersoever thou goest, and I shall bring thee again into this land in peace; for I shall not leave thee until I do everything that I told thee of."

29—

29And Jacob awoke from his sleep, and said, "Truly this place is the house of the Lord, and I knew it not."

30—

30And he was afraid and said:" Dreadful is this place which is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."

31—

31And Jacob arose early in the morning, and took the stone which he had put under his head and set it up as a pillar for a sign, and he poured oil upon the top of it.

32—

32And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of the place was Luz at the first.

33—

33And Jacob vowed a vow unto the Lord, saying: "If the Lord will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and give me bread to eat and raiment to put on,

34—

34so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then shall the Lord be my God,

35—

35and this stone which I have set up as a pillar for a sign in this place, shall be the Lord's house, and of all that thou givest me, I shall give the tenth to thee, my God."
