Jubileus 26

1E no sétimo ano desta semana Isaque chamou Esaú, seu filho mais velho, e disse a ele: "Eu estou velho, meu filho, e eis que meus olhos estão fracos de visão, e eu não conheço o dia de minha morte.

1And in the seventh year of this week Isaac called Esau, his elder son, and said unto him: "I am old, my son, and behold my eyes are dim in seeing, and I know not the day of my death.

2E agora tome tuas armas de caça, tua aljava e teu arco, e saia aos campos, e cace e me traga, filho meu, e me prepare uma carne saborosa, do modo que minha alma gosta, e traga para mim para que eu coma, e para que minha alma possa te abençoar antes de eu morrer."

2And now take thy hunting weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt and catch me (venison), my son,

3Mas Rebeca ouviu Isaque falando com Esaú.

3and make me savoury meat, such as my soul loveth, and bring it to me that I may eat, and that my soul may bless thee before I die."

4E Esaú saiu cedo para os campos caçar e trazer algo para casa para seu pai.

4But Rebecca heard Isaac speaking to Esau.<br>And Esau went forth early to the field to hunt and catch and bring home to his father.

5E Rebeca chamou Jacó, seu filho, e disse a ele: "Eis que eu ouvi Isaque, seu pai, falar com Esaú, seu irmão, dizendo: "Cace para mim, e me faça uma carne saborosa, e me traga para que eu possa comer e te abençoar diante do Senhor antes de eu morrer."

5And Rebecca called Jacob, her son, and said unto him: "Behold, I heard Isaac, thy father, speak unto Esau, thy brother, saying:

6E agora, meu filho, obedeça minha voz no que eu te ordenarei: "Vá ao teu rebanho e traga-me dois bons cabritos, e eu farei deles carne saborosa para teu pai, do modo que ele gosta, e tu deves trazê-la a teu pai para que ele coma e abençoe a ti diante do Senhor antes dele morrer, e que tu possas ser abençoado."

6Hunt for me, and make me savoury meat, and bring (it) to me that I may eat and bless thee before the Lord before I die.'

7E Jacó disse a Rebeca sua mãe: "Mãe, eu não reterei nada que meu pai venha comer, e que lhe agrade. Eu somente temo, minha mãe, que ele reconheça minha voz e queira me tocar.

7And now, my son, obey my voice in that which I command thee:

8E tu sabes que eu sou liso, e Esaú, meu irmão é peludo. E eu serei considerado por ele como malfeitor. que fez uma obra que não lhe foi ordenada. E que ele fique indignado comigo, e que eu traga sobre mim uma maldição e não uma benção."

8Go to thy flock and fetch me two good kids of the goats, and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth,

9E Rebeca, sua mãe, disse a ele: "Seja sobre mim tua maldição. Apenas obedeça minha voz."

9and thou shalt bring (it) to thy father that he may eat and bless thee before the Lord before he die, and that thou mayst be blessed."

10E Jacó obedeceu a voz de Rebeca, sua mãe, e foi buscar dois bons e gordos cabritos, e os trouxe para sua mãe, e sua mãe fez deles carne saborosa do modo que ele gostava.

10And Jacob said to Rebecca his mother: "Mother, I shall not withhold anything which my father would eat, and which would please him: only I fear, my mother, that he will recognise my voice and wish to touch me.

11E Rebeca tomou as melhores roupas de Esaú, seu filho mais velho, que estavam com ela na casa, e ela costurou para Jacó, seu filho mais novo, e ela pois as peles dos cabritos sobre as mãos dele e sobre as partes expostas do pescoço.

11And thou knowest that I am smooth, and Esau, my brother, is hairy, and I shall appear before his eyes as an evildoer, and shall do a deed which he had not commanded me, and he will be wroth with me, and I shall bring upon myself a curse, and not a blessing."

12E ela deu a carne e o pão que ela havia preparado nas mãos de seu filho Jacó.

12And Rebecca, his mother, said unto him: "Upon me be thy curse, my son, only obey my voice."

13E Jacó foi a seu pai e disse: "Eu sou teu filho: Eu tenho feito conforme tu me pedes. Se aproxime, sente e coma do que eu capturei, pai, que tua alma possa me abençoar."

13And Jacob obeyed the voice of Rebecca, his mother, and went and fetched two good and fat kids of the goats, and brought them to his mother, and his mother made them (savoury meat) such as he loved.

14E Isaque disse a seu filho: "Como tu encontraste tão rapidamente, meu filho?"

14And Rebecca took the goodly raiment of Esau, her elder son, which was with her in the house, and she clothed Jacob, her younger son, (with them),

15E Jacó disse: "Porque o Senhor teu Deus me fez achar."

15and she put the skins of the kids upon his hands and on the exposed parts of his neck.

16E Isaque disse a ele: "Venha para perto para que eu possa te sentir, meu filho, se tu és meu filho Esaú ou não."

16And she gave the meat and the bread which she had prepared into the hand of her son Jacob.

17E Jacó se aproximou de Isaque, seu pai, e ele o sentiu e disse:

17And Jacob went in to his father and said: "I am thy son: I have done according as thou badest me:

18"A voz é de Jacó, mas as mãos são de Esaú." E ele não o reconheceu, porque era uma dispensa do céu para remover seu poder de percepção e Isaque não o discerniu, porque suas mãos eram peludas como as de seu irmão Esaú, de modo que ele o abençoou.

18arise and sit and eat of that which I have caught, father, that thy soul may bless me."

19E ele disse: "És tu meu filho Esaú?" e ele disse: "Eu sou teu filho." e ele disse:

19And Isaac said to his son: "How hast thou found so quickly, my son?" And Jacob said: "Because (the Lord) thy God caused me to find."

20"Traga para perto de mim para que eu possa comer disso que tu capturaste, meu filho, para que minha alma possa te abençoar."

20And Isaac said unto him: "Come near, that I may feel thee, my son, if thou art my son Esau or not."

21E Isaque, seu pai, disse a ele: "Aproxime-se e me beije, meu filho. " E ele se aproximou e o beijou.

21And Jacob went near to Isaac, his father, and he felt him and said: <br>"The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau,"

22E ele cheirou o cheiro de suas vestes, e ele o abençoou dizendo: "Eis que o cheiro de meu filho é como o cheiro de um campo abençoado pelo Senhor.

22and he discerned him not, because it was a dispensation from heaven to remove his power of perception

23Que o Senhor te de do orvalho do céu e do orvalho da terra, e abundância de milho e azeite. Que nações te sirvam e povos curvem-se diante de ti.

23and Isaac discerned not, for his hands were hairy as (his brother) Esau's, so that he blessed him.

24Sejas senhor sobre teus irmãos, e que os filhos de tua mãe se curvem a ti. E que todas as bênçãos com as quais o Senhor me abençoou e abençoou Abraão, meu pai, sejam imputadas a ti e a tua descendência para sempre. Maldito seja aquele que te amaldiçoar e bendito seja aquele que te abençoar. "

24And he said: "Art thou my son Esau?" and he said: "I am thy son."

25E aconteceu, após Isaque terminar de abençoar seu filho Jacó, e Jacó ter partido de Isaque e se escondido, que Esaú, seu Irmão, entrou voltando de sua caçada.

25and he said, "Bring near to me that I may eat of that which thou hast caught, my son, that my soul may bless thee." <br>And he brought near to him, and he did eat, and he brought him wine and he drank.

26E ele também preparou carne saborosa, e a trouxe a sei pai, e ele disse a seu pai: "Que meu pai possa se achegar e comer de meu guisado e que sua alma possa me abençoar."

26And Isaac, his father, said unto him: "Come near and kiss me, my son."

27E Isaque, seu pai, disse a ele: "Quem és tu?" E ele disse a ele : "Eu sou teu primogênito, teu filho Esaú. E eu fiz conforme tu me ordenaste."

27And he came near and kissed him. <br>And he smelled the smell of his raiment, and he blessed him and said: "Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a (full) field which the Lord hath blessed.

28E Isaque estava muitíssimo espantado e disse: "Quem é aquele que caçõu e capturou e trouxe-me e eu de tudo comi antes de tu chegar e o abençoei? Ele foi abençoado e toda descendência dele para sempre!"

28And may the Lord give thee of the dew of heaven And of the dew of the earth, and plenty of corn and oil:

29E aconteceu quando Esaú ouviu essas palavras de seu pai Isaque que ele gritou em voz muito alta e lamentosa, e disse a seu pai: "Abençoa também a mim, pai."

29Let nations serve thee, And peoples bow down to thee. <br>Be lord over thy brethren, And let thy mother's sons bow down to thee;

30E ele disse para ele: "Teu irmão veio com astúcia e tomou tua benção." E ele disse: "Agora eu sei porque o nome dele é Jacó. Eis que ele me tapeou essas duas vezes: Ele tomou meu direito de primogenitura, e agora ele tomou minha benção!"

30And may all the blessings wherewith the Lord hath blessed me and blessed Abraham, my father, Be imparted to thee and to thy seed for ever. Cursed be he that curseth thee, And blessed be he that blesseth thee."

31E ele disse: "Tu reservaste uma benção pra mim, pai?" e Isaque respondeu a Esaú: "Eis que eu o fiz teu senhor, e toda tua descendência eu lhe dei por servos, e com abundância de milho, vinho e azeite eu o fortaleci. E agora o que eu poderia fazer por ti, meu filho?"

31And it came to pass as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing his son Jacob, and Jacob had gone forth from Isaac his father he hid himself and Esau, his brother, came in from his hunting.

32E Esaú disse a Isaque, seu pai: "Tu só tem uma benção, oh pai? Abençoe a mim também, pai." E Esaú levantou sua voz e chorou.

32And he also made savoury meat, and brought (it) to his father, and said unto his father: "Let my father arise, and eat of my venison that thy soul may bless me."

33E Isaque respondeu e disse a ele: "Eis que longe do orvalho da terra será tua habitação, e longe do orvalho do céu acima.

33And Isaac, his father, said unto him: "Who art thou?" And he said unto him: "I am thy first born, thy son Esau: I have done as thou hast commanded me."

34E pela tua espada tu viverás, e tu servirás teu irmão. E acontecerá que quando tu se tornar grande, e quando for tirado o jugo de teu pescoço, tu pecarás um completo pecado de morte, e tua descendência será exterminada da terra."

34And Isaac was very greatly astonished, and said: "Who is he that hath hunted and caught and brought (it) to me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him: (and) he shall be blessed, and all his seed for ever."

35E Esaú passou a ameaçar Jacó por causa de benção que seu pai dera a ele. E ele disse em seu coração : "Que venham os dias do luto de meu pai para que eu possa matar meu irmão Jacó."

35And it came to pass when Esau heard the words of his father Isaac that he cried with an exceeding great and bitter cry, and said unto his father: "Bless me, (even) me also, father."

36—

36And he said unto him: "Thy brother came with guile, and hath taken away thy blessing."

37—

37And he said: "Now I know why his name is named Jacob: behold, he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birth-right, and now he hath taken away my blessing." And he said: "Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me, father?"

38—

38and Isaac answered and said unto Esau: "Behold, I have made him thy lord, And all his brethren have I given to him for servants, And with plenty of corn and wine and oil have I strengthened him: And what now shall I do for thee, my son?"

39—

39And Esau said to Isaac, his father: "Hast thou but one blessing, O father? Bless me, (even) me also, father": And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

40—

40And Isaac answered and said unto him: "Behold, far from the dew of the earth shall be thy dwelling, And far from the dew of heaven from above.

41—

41And by thy sword wilt thou live, And thou wilt serve thy brother. And it shall come to pass when thou becomest great, And dost shake his yoke from off thy neck, Thou wilt sin a complete sin unto death, And thy seed will be rooted out from under heaven."

42—

42And Esau kept threatening Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him, and he said in his heart: "May the days of mourning for my father now come, so that I may slay my brother Jacob."
