Jubileus 25

1E no segundo ano dessa semana deste jubileu Rebeca chamou Jacó, seu filho, e falou com ele dizendo: "Meu filho, não tome para ti uma esposa das filhas de Canaã, como Esaú, teu irmão, que tomou para si duas esposas das filhas de Canaã, e elas tem amargurado minha alma com todas as obras imundas delas. Porque todas as obras delas são fornicação e luxúria, e não ha justiça nelas porque são malignas.

1And in the second year of this week in this jubilee, Rebecca called Jacob her son, and spake unto him, saying:

2E eu, meu filho, te amo muitíssimo, e meu coração e minha afeição te bem dizem a cada hora do dia e vigília da noite.

2"My son, do not take thee a wife of the daughters of Canaan, as Esau, thy brother, who took him two wives of the daughters of Canaan,

3E agora, meu filho, ouça a minha voz, e faça a vontade de tua mãe. Não tome para ti uma esposa das filhas desta terra, mas somente da casa de meu pai, e dos parentes de meu pai. Tu deves tomar para ti uma esposa da casa de meu pai, e o Deus Altíssimo te abençoará, e teus filhos serão uma nação generosa e uma descendência santa."

3and they have embittered my soul with all their unclean deeds: for all their deeds are fornication and lust, and there is no righteousness with them, for (their deeds) are evil.

4E então Jacó falou com Rebeca, sua mãe, e disse a ela: "Eis, mãe, que eu tenho nove semanas de anos, e eu nunca conheci nem sequer toquei qualquer mulher, nem noivei com nenhuma, nem mesmo penso em tomar para mim uma esposa das filhas de Canaã.

4And I, my son, love thee exceedingly, and my heart and my affection bless thee every hour of the day and watch of the night.

5Porque eu me lembro, mãe, das palavras de Abraão, nosso pai, porque ele me ordenou não tomar esposa das filhas de Canaã, mas tomar para mim uma esposa da descendência da casa de meu pai e de minha parentela.

5And now, my son, hearken to my voice, and do the will of thy mother, and do not take thee a wife of the daughters of this land, but only of the house of my father, and of my father's kindred.

6Eu ouvi que filhas nasceram de Labão, teu irmão, e eu tenho preparado meu coração para elas para tomar uma esposa dentre elas.

6Thou wilt take thee a wife of the house of my father, and the Most High God will bless thee, and thy children will be a righteous generation and a holy seed."

7E por esta razão eu me guardei em meu espírito para não pecar e nem me corromper em todos os meus caminhos todos os dias de minha vida; Porque no que diz respeito a luxúria e fornicação Abraão, meu pai, me deu muitos mandamentos.

7And then spake Jacob to Rebecca, his mother, and said unto her: "Behold, mother, I am nine weeks of years old, and I neither know

8E apesar de tudo o que ele me mandou, esses vinte e dois anos meu irmão tem lutado comigo e dito freqüentemente a mim: "Meu irmão, tome por esposa uma das irmãs de minhas duas esposas." Mas eu recuso fazer como ele fez.

8nor have I touched any woman, nor have I betrothed myself to any, nor even think of taking me a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

9Eu juro diante de ti, mãe, que todos os dias de minha vida eu não tomarei esposa das filhas da descendência de Canaã, e eu não agirei perversamente como meu irmão fez.

9For I remember, mother, the words of Abraham, our father, for he commanded me not to take a wife of the daughters of Canaan,

10Não temas, mãe, estejas certa de que eu farei tua vontade e andarei um retidão, e não corromperei meus caminhos para sempre."

10but to take me a wife from the seed of my father's house and from my kindred.

11Então ela ergueu as mãos para o céu e estendeu os dedos das mãos, e abriu sua boca e bem disse ao Deus Altíssimo, que criou o céu e a terra, e ela deu a Ele graças e louvor.

11I have heard before that daughters have been born to Laban, thy brother, and I have set my heart on them to take a wife from amongst them.

12E ela disse: "Bem dito seja o Senhor Deus, e que Seu nome santo seja bem dito para todo o sempre, que me deu Jacó como um filho puro e descendência santa; porque ele é Teu, e Tua será sua descendência continuamente e por todas as gerações para sempre.

12And for this reason I have guarded myself in my spirit against sinning or being corrupted in all my ways throughout all the days of my life; for with regard to lust and fornication, Abraham, my father, gave me many commands.

13Abençoe-o, oh Senhor, e coloque em minha boca as bênçãos de justiça , para que eu possa abençoá-lo."

13And, despite all that he hath commanded me, these two and twenty years my brother hath striven with me, and spoken frequently to me and said: 'My brother, take to wife a sister of my two wives';

14E naquela hora, quando o espírito de justiça desceu na boca dela, ela colocou ambas as mãos sobre a cabeça de Jacó e disse:

14but I refuse to do as he hath done. I swear before thee, mother, that all the days of my life I will not take me a wife from the daughters of the seed of Canaan, and I will not act wickedly as my brother hath done.

15"Bendito sejas tu, Senhor da justiça e Deus das eras. Que Ele te abençoe além de todas as gerações dos homens. Que Ele te de, meu filho, o caminho da justiça, e revele justiça a tua descendência.

15Fear not, mother; be assured that I shall do thy will and walk in uprightness, and not corrupt my ways for ever."

16E que Ele faça de teus filhos muitos durante tua vida, e que eles surjam de acordo com os meses do ano. E que os filhos deles se tornem muitos e muito além das estrelas do céu, e que seu número seja maior que o da areia do mar.

16And thereupon she lifted up her face to heaven and extended the fingers of her hands, and opened her mouth and blessed the Most High God, who had created the heaven and the earth,

17E que Ele lhe dê essa boa terra conforme Ele disse que a daria a Abraão e sua descendência após ele para sempre. E que eles mantenham-na como posse para sempre.

17and she gave Him thanks and praise. And she said: "Blessed be the Lord God, and may His holy name be blessed for ever and ever, who hath given me Jacob as a pure son and a holy seed;

18E que eu possa ver nascidos de ti, meu filho, filhos durante a minha vida. E que uma descendência abençoada e santa seja toda a tua descendência.

18for He is Thine, and Thine shall his seed be continually and throughout all the generations for evermore.<br>Bless him, O Lord, and place in my mouth the blessing of righteousness, that I may bless him."

19E porque tu refrigerastes o espírito de tua mãe durante a sua vida, a barriga daquela que te deu a luz de abençoa, e os meus seios te abençoam e minha boca e minha língua louva a ti grandemente.

19And at that hour, when the spirit of righteousness descended into her mouth, she placed both her hands on the head of Jacob, and said:

20Cresça e se espalhe sobre a terra, e que tua descendência seja perfeita na alegria do céu e da terra para sempre; E que tua descendência se alegre, e que no grande dia da paz que eles tenham paz.

20"Blessed art thou, Lord of righteousness and God of the ages; And may He bless thee beyond all the generations of men.

21E que teu nome e de tua descendência durem para sempre, e que o Deus Altíssimo seja o deus deles, e que o Deus da Justiça habite com eles, e por eles seja seu santuário construído para todas as eras.

21May He give thee, my son, the path of righteousness, And reveal righteousness to thy seed.<br>And may He make thy sons many during thy life, And may they arise according to the number of the months of the year.

22Bendito seja aquele que te abençoar, e toda a carne que te maldizer falsamente seja amaldiçoada."

22And may their sons become many and great beyond the stars of heaven, And their numbers be more than the sand of the sea.

23E ela o beijou e disse a ele: "Que o Senhor do Mundo ame a ti como o coração de tua mãe e Sua afeição se alegre em ti e te abençoe." E ela encerrou as bênçãos.

23And may He give them this goodly land--as He said He would give it to Abraham and to his seed after him alway -- And may they hold it as a possession for ever.

24—

24And may I see (born) unto thee, my son, blessed children during my life, And a blessed and holy seed may all thy seed be.

25—

25And as thou hast refreshed thy mother's spirit during my life, The womb of her that bare thee blesseth thee, [My affection] and my breasts bless thee And my mouth and my tongue praise thee greatly.

26—

26Increase and spread over the earth, And may thy seed be perfect in the joy of heaven and earth for ever;

27—

27And may thy seed rejoice, And on the great day of peace may it have peace.

28—

28And may thy name and thy seed endure to all the ages, And may the Most High God be their God, And may the God of righteousness dwell with them, And by them may His sanctuary be built unto all the ages.

29—

29Blessed be he that blesseth thee, And all flesh that curseth thee falsely may it be cursed."

30—

30And she kissed him, and said to him "May the Lord of the world love thee As the heart of thy mother and her affection rejoice in thee and bless thee." And she ceased from blessing.
