Jubileus 20

1E no quadragésimo segundo jubileu, no primeiro ano da sétima semana , Abraão chamou Ismael e seus doze filhos, e Isaque e seus dois filhos, e os seis filhos de Ketuah, e os filhos deles.

1And in the forty-second jubilee, in the first year of the seventh week, Abraham called Ishmael, and his twelve sons, and Isaac and his two sons, and the six sons of Keturah, and their sons.

2E ele os ordenou que deveriam observar o caminho do Senhor; que eles deviam praticar justiça, e amar cada um ao seu vizinho, e agir desse modo entre todos os homens; que eles deveriam cada um andar, no que diz respeito a eles, na pratica da justiça e do direito sobre a terra.

2And he commanded them that they should observe the way of the Lord; that they should work righteousness, and love each his neighbour, and act on this manner amongst all men; that they should each so walk with regard to them as to do judgment and righteousness on the earth.

3Que eles deveriam circuncidar seus filhos de acordo com a aliança que Ele fez com eles, e não se desviar nem para a direita nem para a esquerda de todos os caminhos que o Senhor nos ordenou; e que nós deveríamos nos guardar de toda fornicação e impureza.

3That they should circumcise their sons, according to the covenant which He had made with them, and not deviate to the right hand or the left of all the paths which the Lord had commanded us; and that we should keep ourselves from all fornication and uncleanness, [and renounce from amongst us all fornication and uncleanness].

4E se alguma mulher ou serva cometer fornicação entre vocês, queimemna com fogo e não os deixe cometer fornicação com ela segundo seus olhos e seu coração; e não os deixe tomar para si esposas das filhas de Canaã, porque os descendentes de Canaã serão exterminados da terra.

4And if any woman or maid commit fornication amongst you, burn her with fire, and let them not commit fornication with her after their eyes and their heart;

5E ele contou a eles sobre o julgamento dos Gigantes, e sobre o julgamento dos sodomitas, como eles haviam sido julgados devido a maldade , e haviam morrido devido a fornicação , e impureza, e corrupção mútua pela fornicação.

5and let them not take to themselves wives from the daughters of Canaan; for the seed of Canaan will be rooted out of the land.

6"E guardem-se de toda fornicação e impureza, e de toda poluição do pecado, para que não tornem nosso nome em maldição, e suas próprias vidas um assobio , e seus filhos a serem destruídos pela espada, e vocês se tornem malditos como Sodoma, e seu remanescente como os filhos de Gomorra.

6And he told them of the judgment of the giants, and the judgment of the Sodomites, how they had been judged on account of their wickedness, and had died on account of their fornication, and uncleanness,

7Eu imploro a vocês , meus filhos, amem ao Deus do céu e firmem-se em todos os seus mandamentos. E não sigam os ídolos, nem toda a sujeira deles.

7and mutual corruption through fornication.<br>"And guard yourselves from all fornication and uncleanness, And from all pollution of sin, Lest ye make our name a curse, And your whole life a hissing,

8E não façam para si mesmos deuses fundidos ou esculpidos. Porque eles são vaidade, e não ha espírito neles; porque eles são obra da mão , e todos os que crêem neles crêem em nada, não os sirvam nem os adorem.

8And all your sons be destroyed by the sword, And ye become accursed like Sodom, And all your remnant as the sons of Gomorrah.

9Mas sirvam o Deus Altíssimo e O adorem continuamente. E esperem em seu semblante, e pratiquem retidão e justiça diante dele. Que ele possa ter prazer em vocês e os conceder sua misericórdia, e enviar a chuva sobre vocês manhã e tarde, e abençoe todo o trabalho que fazem sobre a terra, e abençoe o vosso pão e a vossa água, e abençoe o fruto do vosso ventre e o fruto de vossa terra, e os rebanhos dos vossos animais, e os rebanhos de vossas ovelhas.

9I implore you, my sons, love the God of heaven, And cleave ye to all His commandments. And walk not after their idols, and after their uncleannesses,

10E vós sereis por benção sobre a terra. E todas as nações da terra vos desejarão, e abençoarão seus filhos em meu nome, de modo que eles sejam abençoados como eu sou.

10And make not for yourselves molten or graven gods; For they are vanity, And there is no spirit in them; For they are work of (men's) hands, And all who trust in them, trust in nothing.

11E ele deu a Ismael e seus filhos, e aos filhos de Quetura, presentes, e os mandou embora de Isaque seu filho, e ele deu tudo para Isaque seu filho.

11Serve them not, nor worship them, But serve ye the Most High God, and worship Him continually: And hope for His countenance always,

12E Ismael e seus filhos e os filhos de Quetura e os filhos dele, foram juntos e habitaram de Paran até a entrada da Babilônia em toda a terra que fica em direção a oeste de frente para o deserto.

12And work uprightness and righteousness before Him, That He may have pleasure in you and grant you His mercy, And send rain upon you morning and evening, And bless all your works which ye have wrought upon the earth,

13E estes se misturaram uns com os outros, e seu nome foi chamado de Arabes e Ismaelitas.

13And bless thy bread and thy water, And bless the fruit of thy womb and the fruit of thy land, And the herds of thy cattle, and the flocks of thy sheep.

14—

14And ye will be for a blessing on the earth, And all nations of the earth will desire you, And bless your sons in my name, That they may be blessed as I am."

15—

15And he gave to Ishmael and to his sons, and to the sons of Keturah, gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, and he gave everything to Isaac his son.

16—

16And Ishmael and his sons, and the sons of Keturah and their sons, went together and dwelt from Paran to the entering in of Babylon in all the land which is towards the East facing the desert.

17—

17And these mingled with each other, and their name was called Arabs, and Ishmaelites.
