Jubileus 19

1E no primeiro ano da primeira semana no quadragésimo segundo jubileu , Abraão retornou e habitou em oposição a Hebrom, que é Kirjath Arba, duas semanas de anos. Abraão é provado na morte de Sara.

1And in the first year of the first week in the forty-second jubilee, Abraham returned and dwelt opposite Hebron, that is Kirjath Arba,

2E no primeiro ano da terceira semana deste jubileu os dias da vida de Sara foram completados, e ela morreu em Hebron.

2two weeks of years.<br>And in the first year of the third week of this jubilee the days of the life of Sarah were accomplished, and she died in Hebron.<br> And Abraham went to mourn over her and bury her,

3E Abraão foi lamentar por ela e a enterrar, e nós o provamos se seu espírito era paciente e se ele não era relutante nas palavras de sua boca; E ele foi achado paciente nisso, e não se perturbou.

3and we tried him [to see] if his spirit were patient and he were not indignant in the words of his mouth; and he was found patient in this, and was not disturbed.

4Porque em paciência de espírito ele conversou com os filhos de Heth, no intento de que eles deveriam dar um lugar para ele enterrar seu morto.

4For in patience of spirit he conversed with the children of Heth, to the intent that they should give him a place in which to bury his dead.

5E o Senhor deu a ele graça diante dos olhos dos que o viam, e ele rogou a gentileza dos filhos de Heth, e eles lhe deram a terra da dupla caverna contra o Moré , que é Hebron, por quatrocentos siclos de prata.

5And the Lord gave him grace before all who saw him, and he besought in gentleness the sons of Heth, and they gave him the land of the double cave over against Mamre, that is Hebron, for four hundred pieces of silver.

6E eles rogaram a ele dizendo: Nós deveríamos dar-lhe de graça, mas ele não a aceitaria de nossas mãos de graça, por isso ele deu ao príncipe do lugar o dinheiro completo, e se curvou diante deles duas vezes, e após isso ele enterrou seu morto na caverna dupla.

6And they besought him, saying, "We shall give it to thee for nothing"; but he would not take it from their hands for nothing, for he gave the price of the place, the money in full, and he bowed down before them twice;

7E Todos os dias da vida de Sara foram cento e vinte e sete anos, que corresponde a dois jubileus e quatro semanas e um ano. Estes foram os anos da vida de Sara.

7and after this he buried his dead in the double cave.

8Essa foi a décima provação na qual Abraão foi provado, e ele foi achado fiel, paciente em espírito.

8And all the days of the life of Sarah were one hundred and twenty-seven years, that is, two jubilees and four weeks and one year: these are the days of the years of the life of Sarah.

9E ele não disse sequer uma única palavra sobre a promessa da terra a qual Deus havia dito que Ele daria a ele e sua descendência após ele, e ele teve que pedir por um lugar para enterrar seu morto; por isso ele foi achado fiel, e foi gravado nas tábuas celestes como amigo de Deus. O casamento de Isaque e o outro casamento de Abraão. O nascimento de Esaú e Jacó.

9This is the tenth trial wherewith Abraham was tried, and he was found faithful, patient in spirit.

10E no quarto ano ele tomou uma esposa para seu filho Isaque e o nome dela era Rebeca a irmã de Labão e filha de Bethuel; e Bethuel era o filho de Melca, que era esposa de Naor, o Irmão de Abraão.

10And he said not a single word regarding the rumour in the land how that God had said that He would give it to him and to his seed after him, and he begged a place there to bury his dead;

11E Abraão tomou para si uma terceira esposa, e seu nome era Quetura, dentre as filhas dos servos de seu lar, porque Hagar morreu depois de Sara.

11for he was found faithful, and was recorded on the heavenly tables as the friend of God.

12E ela deu a luz a seis filhos, Zinrã, Jocsã, Medã, Midiã, Isbaque e Suá, nas duas semanas de anos. Quetura. And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah." 12And in the fourth year thereof he took a wife for his son Isaac and her name was Rebecca [the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Nahor, the brother of Abraham] the sister of Laban and daughter of Bethuel; and Bethuel was the son of Mêlcâ, who was the wife of Nahor, the brother of Abraham.

13E na sexta semana, no segundo ano Rebeca deu a luz a dois filhos de Isaque, Jacó e Esaú . Jacó era suave e um homem reto, e Esaú era rude, selvagem dos campos, e peludo, mas Jacó permanecia em sua tenda .

13And Abraham took to himself a third wife, and her name was Keturah, from among the daughters of his household servants, for Hagar had died before Sarah.

14E os jovens cresceram, e Jacó aprendeu a escrever; mas Esaú não aprendeu, porque ele era um homem do campo e um caçador, e ele aprendeu a guerra, e todas as suas obras eram ferozes. Abraão ama Jacó e o abençoa.

14And she bare him six sons, Zimram, and Jokshan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah, in the two weeks of years.

15E Abraão amava Jacó, mas Isaque amava Esaú.

15And in the sixth week, in the second year thereof, Rebecca bare to Isaac two sons, Jacob and Esau,

16E Abraão viu as obras de Esaú, e ele sabia que em Jacó deveria ser chamado seu nome e o de sua descendência; e ele falou com Rebeca e lhe deu ordem com relação a Jacó, porque ele sabia que ela amava Jacó muito mais que Esaú.

16and Jacob was a smooth and upright man, and Esau was fierce, a man of the field, and hairy, and Jacob dwelt in tents.

17E ele disse a ela: Minha filha, cuide de meu filho Jacó, porque ele deve ficar em meu lugar sobre a terra, e por bênção em meio aos filhos dos homens, para a glória de toda a descendência de Shem.

17And the youths grew, and Jacob learned to write; but Esau did not learn, for he was a man of the field and a hunter, and he learnt war, and all his deeds were fierce.

18Porque eu sei que o Senhor o escolherá para ser um povo de sua propriedade, acima de todos os povos que existem sobre a face da terra.

18And Abraham loved Jacob, but Isaac loved Esau.

19E eis que meu filho Isaque ama Esaú mais que Jacó, mas eu vejo que tu amas verdadeiramente Jacó.

19And Abraham saw the deeds of Esau, and he knew that in Jacob should his name and seed be called;

20Adicione ainda mais a tua benevolência para com ele, e deixe que seus olhos estejam sobre ele em amor; Porque ele deve ser uma bênção para nós na terra de agora e por todas as gerações da terra.

20and he called Rebecca and gave commandment regarding Jacob, for he knew that she (too) loved Jacob much more than Esau.

21E deixe que tuas mão sejam fortes e teu coração se alegre em teu filho Jacó; porque eu o amei muito mais que todos os meus filhos. Ele deve ser bendito para sempre e sua descendência deve encher toda a terra.

21And he said unto her: "My daughter, watch over my son Jacob, For he shall be in my stead on the earth, And for a blessing in the midst of the children of men, And for the glory of the whole seed of Shem.

22Se um homem pode contar o pó da terra, sua descendência também poderá ser contada.

22For I know that the Lord will choose him to be a people for possession unto Himself, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

23E todas as bênçãos as quais o Senhor me abençoou a mim e minha descendência pertencem a Jacó e sua descendência para sempre.

23And behold, Isaac my son loveth Esau more than Jacob, but I see that thou truly lovest Jacob.

24E em sua descendência será o meu nome abençoado, e o nome de meus pais , Shem, Noé, Enoque, Mahalalel, Enos, Sete e Adão.

24Add still further to thy kindness to him, And let thine eyes be upon him in love; For he will be a blessing unto us on the earth from henceforth unto all generations of the earth.

25E eles serão chamados para lançar os fundamentos do céu, e para fortalecer a terra, e para renovar as luminárias que estão no firmamento.

25Let thy hands be strong And let thy heart rejoice in thy son Jacob; For I have loved him far beyond all my sons. He will be blessed for ever, And his seed will fill the whole earth.

26E ele chamou Jacó diante dos olhos de Rebeca sua mãe e o beijou e o abençoou, e disse:

26If a man can number the sand of the earth, His seed also will be numbered.

27"Jacó, meu filho amado, o qual ama minha alma, que Deus o abençoe de sobre o firmamento e que Ele lhe dê todas as bênçãos com as quais ele abençoou Adão, Enoque, Noé e Shem; e todas as coisas que Ele me contou, e todas as coisas que Ele me prometeu dar, que ele permita ficar contigo e com tua descendência para sempre, de acordo com os dias do céu sobre a terra.

27And all the blessings wherewith the Lord hath blessed me and my seed shall belong to Jacob and his seed alway.

28E os espíritos de Mastema não reinarão sobre ti ou sobre teus descendentes para o desviar do Senhor, que é teu Deus de agora e para sempre.

28And in his seed shall my name be blessed, and the name of my fathers, Shem, and Noah, and Enoch, and Mahalalel, and Enos, and Seth, and Adam.

29E que o Senhor Deus seja um pai para ti e também tu sejas para Ele o primogênito, e para as pessoas sempre. Vá em paz, meu filho."

29And these shall serve To lay the foundations of the heaven, And to strengthen the earth, And to renew all the luminaries which are in the firmament."

30E ambos saíram juntos da presença de Abraão.

30And he called Jacob before the eyes of Rebecca his mother, and kissed him, and blessed him, and said:

31E Rebeca amava Jacó com todo seu coração e com toda sua alma, muito mais que Esaú; Mas Isaque amava Esaú muito mais que Jacó.

31"Jacob, my beloved son, whom my soul loveth, may God bless thee from above the firmament, and may He give thee all the blessings wherewith He blessed Adam, and Enoch, and Noah, and Shem;

32—

32and all the things of which He told me, and all the things which He promised to give me, may He cause to cleave to thee and to thy seed for ever, according to the days of heaven above the earth.

33—

33And the spirits of Mastêmâ shall not rule over thee or over thy seed to turn thee from the Lord, who is thy God from henceforth for ever.

34—

34And may the Lord God be a father to thee and thou the first-born son, and to the people alway. Go in peace, my son."

35—

35And they both went forth together from Abraham.

36—

36And Rebecca loved Jacob, with all her heart and with all her soul, very much more than Esau; but Isaac loved Esau much more than Jacob.
