Jubileus 17

1No primeiro ano da quinta semana deste jubileu Isaque foi desmamado. e Abraão fez um grande banquete ao terceiro mês, no dia em que seu filho Isaque foi desmamado.

1Isaac was weaned in this jubilee, and Abraham made a great banquet in the third month, on the day his son Isaac was weaned.

2E Ismael, o filho de Hagar, a egípcia, estava diante da face de Abraão, seu pai, em seu local, e Abraão se alegrou e bem disse a Deus porque ele tinha visto seus filhos e não morreu sem filhos.

2And Ishmael, the son of Hagar, the Egyptian, was before the face of Abraham, his father, in his place,

3E ele lembrou as palavras que Ele tinha falado a ele no dia em que Ló tinha partido dele, e ele se alegrou porque o Senhor o tinha dado descendente sobre a terra para herdar a terra, e ele bem disse com toda sua boca ao Criador de todas as coisas.

3and Abraham rejoiced and blessed God because he had seen his sons and had not died childless.

4E Sara viu Ismael tocando e dançando, e Abraão alegrando-se com grande alegria, e ela ficou com ciúmes de Ismael e disse a Abraão: "Expulsa esta escrava e seu filho porque o filho desta escrava não será herdeiro com meu filho Isaque."

4And he remembered the words which He had spoken to him on the day on which Lot had parted from him, and he rejoiced because the Lord had given him seed upon the earth to inherit the earth,

5E a coisa foi grave aos olhos de Abraão, por causa de sua serva e por causa de seu filho, de modo que ele os afastou dele.

5and he blessed with all his mouth the Creator of all things.

6E Deus disse a Abraão: "Não deixe isso ser grave a seus olhos, por causa do filho e por causa da escrava; em tudo o que a Sara disse a ti, escute as palavras dela e as cumpra; porque em Isaque deverá ser seu nome chamado.

6And Sarah saw Ishmael playing and dancing and Abraham rejoicing with great joy, and she became jealous of Ishmael and said to Abraham,

7Mas quanto ao filho desta escrava eu farei dele uma grande nação, porque ele é seu descendente."

7"Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman will not be heir with my son, Isaac."

8E Abraão levantou-se cedo pela manhã, e pegou pão e uma garrafa de água, e os colocou sobre os ombros de Hagar e da criança, e os mandou embora.

8And the thing was grievous in Abraham's sight, because of his maidservant and because of his son, that he should drive them from him.

9E ela partiu e foi andando errante pelo deserto de Berseba, e a água da garrafa acabou, e a criança passou sede, e era incapaz de prosseguir, e caiu.

9And God said to Abraham "Let it not be grievous in thy sight, because of the child and because of the bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken to her words and do (them); for in Isaac shall thy name and seed be called.

10E sua mãe o pegou e largou numa árvore oliveira, e foi e sentou-se virada para ele, a uma distância de um tiro de flecha; e ela disse: "Não me deixe ver a morte de meu filho." e ao se sentar ela chorou.

10But as for the son of this bondwoman I will make him a great nation, because he is of thy seed."

11E um anjo de Deus, um dos santos, disse a ela: "Porque choras Hagar? Levante-se tome a criança e segure-a em suas mãos; porque Deus ouviu tua voz, e viu a criança."

11And Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a bottle of water, and placed them on the shoulders of Hagar and the child, and sent her away.<br>And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba,

12E ela abriu os olhos e viu um poço de água, e ele foi e encheu sua garrafa de água, e ela deu de beber a seu filho, e ela se levantou e seguiu em direção ao deserto de Paran.

12and the water in the bottle was spent, and the child thirsted, and was not able to go on, and fell down.

13E a criança cresceu e tornou-se um arqueiro, e Deus era com ele, e sua mãe tomou para ele uma esposa dentre as filhas do Egito.

13And his mother took him and cast him under an olive tree,

14E ela deu a luz a um filho, e ele o chamou pelo nome de Nebaioth; porque ela disse: "O Senhor estava próximo a mim quando eu o chamei." O Grande Exemplo de Fé de Abraão. Mastema provoca Deus para que submeta Abraão à provação.

14and went and sat her down over against him, at the distance of a bow-shot; for she said, "Let me not see the death of my child," and as she sat she wept.

15E aconteceu na sétima semana, no primeiro ano, no primeiro mês desse jubileu, no décimo segundo desse mês, haviam vozes no céu sobre Abraão, que ele era fiel em tudo o que Ele o dizia, e que ele amava o Senhor, e que em cada aflição ele era fiel.

15And an angel of God, one of the holy ones, said unto her, "Why weepest thou, Hagar? Arise, take the child, and hold him in thine hand; for God hath heard thy voice, and hath seen the child."

16E o Príncipe Mastema veio e disse diante de Deus, "Eis que Abraão ama Isaque filho dele, e ele se alegra nele acima de tudo o mais; peça a ele que ofereça ele em holocausto sobre o altar, e Tu verás se ele obedecerá esta ordem, e Tu saberás se ele é fiel em tudo em que Tu o provas.

16And she opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water, and she went and filled her bottle with water, and she gave her child to drink,

17O Senhor sabia que Abraão era fiel em todas as suas aflições; porque Ele o havia provado através de sua terra e com a fome, e o havia provado com a riqueza dos reis, e o havia provado novamente através de sua esposa, quando ela foi tomada , e com a circuncisão; e o havia provado através de Ismael e Hagar, sua serva, quando ele os expulsou.

17and she arose and went towards the wilderness of Paran. <br>And the child grew and became an archer, and God was with him;

18E em tudo em que Ele o havia provado ele havia sido fiel, e sua alma não era impaciente, e ele não demorava a agir; porque ele era fiel e amava a Deus.

18and his mother took him a wife from among the daughters of Egypt.<br>And she bare him a son, and he called his name Nebaioth; for she said, "The Lord was nigh to me when I called upon him."

19—

19And it came to pass in the seventh week, in the first year thereof, in the first month in this jubilee, on the twelfth of this month, there were voices in heaven regarding Abraham,

20—

20that he was faithful in all that He told him, and that he loved the Lord, and that in every affliction he was faithful.

21—

21And the prince Mastêmâ came and said before God, "Behold, Abraham loveth Isaac his son, and he delighteth in him above all things else;

22—

22bid him offer him as a burnt-offering on the altar, and Thou wilt see if he will do this command, and Thou wilt know if he is faithful in everything wherein Thou dost try him."

23—

23And the Lord knew that Abraham was faithful in all his afflictions; for He had tried him through his country and with famine, and had tried him with the wealth of kings, and had tried him again through his wife, when she was torn (from him),

24—

24and with circumcision, and had tried him through Ishmael and Hagar, his maid-servant, when he sent them away.<br>And in everything wherein He had tried him, he was found faithful,

25—

25and his soul was not impatient, and he was not slow to act; for he was faithful and a lover of the Lord.
