Jubileus 14

1Depois dessas coisas, no quarto ano dessa semana, na lua nova do terceiro mês, a palavra do Senhor veio a Abram em um sonho dizendo: "Não temas, Abram. Eu sou teu defensor e tua recompensa será grandiosa."

1After these things, in the fourth year of this week, on the new moon of the third month, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a dream, saying:

6And he looked toward heaven, and beheld the stars. And He said unto him: "So shall thy seed be."

7And he believed in the Lord, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

12And he took all these in the middle of the month;

13and he dwelt at the oak of Mamre, which is near Hebron.

14And he built there an altar, and sacrificed all these; and he poured their blood upon the altar, and divided them in the midst, and laid them over against each other; but the birds divided he not.

17and it was said unto Abram: "Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land (that is) not theirs, and they will bring them into bondage, and afflict them four hundred years.

18E naquele dia o Senhor fez uma aliança com Abram dizendo: "Para seus descendentes eu darei esta terra, do rio do Egito até o grande rio, o rio Eufrates. Os Kenitas, os Kenizzitas, os Kadmonitas, os Perizzitas, os Refaim , os Pharoquitas, os Hivitas, os Amoritas, os Cananitas, os Girgashitas, e os Jebusitas.

18And the nation also to whom they will be in bondage shall I judge, and after that they will come forth thence with much substance.

19E o dia passou, e Abram ofereceu as partes e as aves e suas ofertas de frutas, e suas ofertas de bebidas, e o fogo as devorou.

19And thou wilt go to thy fathers in peace, and be buried in a good old age.

20E naquele dia nós fizemos aliança com Abram, do mesmo modo como tínhamos feito aliança com Noé neste mês. E Abram renovou o festival e a ordenança para si mesmo para sempre. Hagar dá à luz a Ismael para Abram.

20But in the fourth generation they will return hither; for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."

21E Abram alegrou-se, e contou todas essas coisas para Sarai sua esposa, e ele creu que ele teria uma herança, mas ela não suportou.

21And he awoke from his sleep, and he arose, and the sun had set;

22E Sarai aconselhou a seu marido Abram, e disse a ele: "Vá com Hagar, minha serva egípcia: talvez seja que eu lhe traga descendentes por meio dela."

22and there was a flame, and behold! a furnace was smoking, and a flame of fire passed between the pieces.

23And on that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates,

27and Abram renewed the festival and ordinance for himself for ever.

28And Abram rejoiced, and made all these things known to Sarai his wife; and he believed that he would have seed, but she did not bear.

29—

29And Sarai advised her husband Abram, and said unto him: "Go in unto Hagar, my Egyptian maid: it may be that I shall build up seed unto thee by her."

30—

30And Abram hearkened unto the voice of Sarai his wife, and said unto her, "Do (so)."

31—

31And Sarai took Hagar, her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to Abram, her husband, to be his wife.

32—

32And he went in unto her, and she conceived and bare him a son, and he called his name Ishmael, in the fifth year of this week;

33—

33and this was the eighty-sixth year in the life of Abram.
