1E Benjamim estava sentado com ela no carro, à direita; e Benjamim era um rapaz forte de cerca de dezenove anos, e sobre ele havia uma beleza e um poder inefáveis ​​como os de um filhote de leão, e ele também era alguém que temia excessivamente a Deus.

1And Benjamin was sitting with her on the chariot on the right side; and Benjamin was a strong lad of about nineteen years, and upon him was ineffable beauty and might as of a lion's whelp, and he was also one who feared God exceedingly.

2Então Benjamim saltou da carruagem e pegou uma pedra redonda da ravina e encheu sua mão e atirou no filho do Faraó e feriu sua têmpora esquerda e o feriu com um ferimento grave, e ele caiu de seu cavalo no chão meio morto.

2Then Benjamin leaped down from the chariot, and took a round stone from the ravine and filled his hand and hurled at Pharaoh's son and smote his left temple, and wounded him with a grievous wound, and he fell from his horse upon the earth half-dead.

3E então Benjamin, tendo corrido para uma rocha, disse ao cocheiro de Asenath: "Dê-me pedras da ravina." E ele deu-lhe cinquenta pedras. E Benjamim atirou as pedras e matou os cinquenta homens que estavam com o filho do Faraó, todas as pedras afundando-se nos seus templos.

3And thereupon Benjamin, having run up on to a rock, saith to Asenath's chariot-man: "Give me stones from the ravine." And he gave him fifty stones. And Benjamin hurled the stones and slew the fifty men who were with Pharaoh's son, all the stones sinking in through their temples.

4Então os filhos de Lia, Rúben e Simeão, Levi e Judá, Issacar e Zebulom, perseguiram os homens que armaram ciladas contra Asenath e, de surpresa, atacaram-nos e mataram-nos a todos; e os seis homens mataram dois mil e setenta e seis homens.

4Then the sons of Leah, Reuben and Simeon, Levi and Judah, Issachar and Zebulon, pursued after the men who had lain in wait against Asenath and fell upon them unawares and cut them all down; and the six men slew two thousand and seventy-six men.

5E os filhos de Balla e Zelpha fugiram de sua face e disseram: "Perecemos nas mãos de nossos irmãos, e o filho do Faraó também morreu pelas mãos do rapaz Benjamim, e todos os que estavam com ele pereceram pelas mãos do menino Benjamim. Portanto, venhamos, vamos matar Asenath e Benjamim e fugir para o matagal destes juncos."

5And the sons of Balla and Zelpha fled from their face and said: "We have perished at the hands of our brethren, and Pharaoh's son hath also died by the hand of Benjamin the lad, and all who were with him perished by the hand of the boy Benjamin. Accordingly, therefore, come let us slay Asenath and Benjamin and flee to the thicket of these reeds."

6E eles vieram contra Asenath segurando suas espadas desembainhadas e cobertas de sangue. E Asenath, quando os viu, temeu muito e disse: "Senhor Deus, que me vivificou e me livrou dos ídolos e da corrupção da morte, assim como me disseste que minha alma viverá para sempre, livra-me agora também desses homens ímpios."

6And they came against Asenath holding their swords drawn covered with blood. And Asenath when she saw them feared greatly and said: "Lord God, who quickenedst me and deliveredst me from the idols and the corruption of death, even as thou saidst to me that my soul shall live for ever, deliver me now also from these wicked men."

7E o Senhor Deus ouviu a voz de Asenath, e imediatamente as espadas dos adversários caíram de suas mãos sobre a terra e foram transformadas em cinzas.

7And the Lord God heard Asenath's voice, and straightway the swords of the adversaries fell from their hands upon the earth and were turned into ashes.
