Jeremias 52

1Era Zedequias da idade de vinte e um anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém; e o nome de sua mãe era Hamutal, filha de Jeremias, de Libna.

1Zedekiah {was} one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name {was} Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. {began...: Heb. reigned}

2E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor, conforme tudo o que fizera Jeoiaquim.

2And he did {that which was} evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

3Assim, por causa da ira do SENHOR, contra Jerusalém e Judá, ele os lançou de diante dele, e Zedequias se rebelou contra o rei de babilônia.

3For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

4E aconteceu, que no ano nono do seu reinado, no décimo mês, no décimo dia do mês, veio Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, contra Jerusalém, ele e todo o seu exército, e se acamparam contra ela, e levantaram contra ela trincheiras ao redor.

4And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth {day} of the month, {that} Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

5Assim esteve cercada a cidade, até ao undécimo ano do rei Zedequias.

5So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

6No quarto mês, aos nove dias do mês, quando já a fome prevalecia na cidade, e o povo da terra não tinha pão,

6And in the fourth month, in the ninth {day} of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

7Então foi aberta uma brecha na cidade, e todos os homens de guerra fugiram, e saíram da cidade de noite, pelo caminho da porta entre os dois muros, a qual estava perto do jardim do rei (porque os caldeus cercavam a cidade ao redor), e foram pelo caminho da campina.

7Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which {was} by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans {were} by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

8Mas o exército dos caldeus perseguiu o rei, e alcançou a Zedequias nas campinas de Jericó, e todo o seu exército se espalhou, abandonando-o.

8But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

9E prenderam o rei, e o fizeram subir ao rei de babilônia, a Ribla, na terra de Hamate, o qual lhe pronunciou a sentença.

9Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

10E o rei de babilônia degolou os filhos de Zedequias à sua vista, e também degolou a todos os príncipes de Judá em Ribla.

10And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

11E cegou os olhos a Zedequias, e o atou com cadeias; e o rei de babilônia o levou para babilônia, e o conservou na prisão até o dia da sua morte.

11Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death. {put out: Heb. blinded} {chains: or, fetters} {prison: Heb. house of the wards}

12E no quinto mês, no décimo dia do mês, que era o décimo nono ano do rei Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, que assistia na presença do rei de babilônia, veio a Jerusalém.

12Now in the fifth month, in the tenth {day} of the month, which {was} the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, {which} served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem, {captain...: or, chief marshal: Heb. chief of the executioners, or, slaughtermen} {served: Heb. stood before}

13E queimou a casa do Senhor, e a casa do rei; e também a todas as casas de Jerusalém, e a todas as casas dos grandes ele as incendiou.

13And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great {men}, burned he with fire:

14E todo o exército dos caldeus, que estava com o capitão da guarda, derrubou a todos os muros em redor de Jerusalém.

14And all the army of the Chaldeans, that {were} with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.

15E dos mais pobres do povo, e a parte do povo, que tinha ficado na cidade, e os rebeldes que se haviam passado para o rei de babilônia, e o mais da multidão, Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, levou presos.

15Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive {certain} of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

16Mas dos mais pobres da terra Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, deixou ficar alguns, para serem vinhateiros e lavradores.

16But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left {certain} of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

17Quebraram mais os caldeus as colunas de bronze, que estavam na casa do SENHOR, e as bases, e o mar de bronze, que estavam na casa do SENHOR, e levaram todo o bronze para babilônia.

17Also the pillars of brass that {were} in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that {was} in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

18Também tomaram os caldeirões, e as pás, e as espevitadeiras, e as bacias, e as colheres, e todos os utensílios de bronze, com que se ministrava.

18The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away. {shovels: or, instruments to remove the ashes} {bowls: or, basons}

19E tomou o capitão da guarda as bacias, e os braseiros, e as tigelas, e os caldeirões, e os castiçais, e as colheres, e os copos; tanto o que era de puro ouro, como o que era de prata maciça.

19And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; {that} which {was} of gold {in} gold, and {that} which {was} of silver {in} silver, took the captain of the guard away. {firepans: or, censers}

20Quanto às duas colunas, ao único mar, e aos doze bois de bronze, que estavam debaixo das bases, que fizera o rei Salomão para a casa do Senhor, o peso do bronze de todos estes utensílios era incalculável.

20The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that {were} under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight. {the brass: Heb. their brass}

21Quanto às colunas, a altura de cada uma era de dezoito côvados, e um fio de doze côvados a cercava; e era a sua espessura de quatro dedos, e era oca.

21And {concerning} the pillars, the height of one pillar {was} eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof {was} four fingers: {it was} hollow. {fillet: Heb. thread}

22E havia sobre ela um capitel de bronze; e a altura do capitel era de cinco côvados; a rede e as romãs ao redor do capitel eram de bronze; e semelhante a esta era a segunda coluna, com as romãs.

22And a chapiter of brass {was} upon it; and the height of one chapiter {was} five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all {of} brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates {were} like unto these.

23E havia noventa e seis romãs em cada lado; as romãs todas, em redor da rede, eram cem.

23And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; {and} all the pomegranates upon the network {were} an hundred round about.

24Levou também o capitão da guarda a Seraías, o sacerdote chefe, e a Sofonias, o segundo sacerdote, e aos três guardas da porta.

24And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: {door: Heb. threshold}

25E da cidade tomou a um eunuco que tinha a seu cargo os homens de guerra, e a sete homens que estavam próximos à pessoa do rei, que se achavam na cidade, como também o escrivão-mor do exército, que alistava o povo da terra para a guerra, e a sessenta homens do povo da terra, que se achavam no meio da cidade.

25He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city. {were near...: Heb. saw the face of the king} {principal...: or, scribe of the captain of the host}

26Tomando-os, pois, Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, levou-os ao rei de babilônia, a Ribla.

26So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

27E o rei de babilônia os feriu e os matou em Ribla, na terra de Hamate; assim Judá foi levado cativo para fora da sua terra.

27And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

28Este é o povo que Nabucodonosor levou cativo, no sétimo ano: três mil e vinte e três judeus.

28This {is} the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

29No ano décimo oitavo de Nabucodonosor, ele levou cativas de Jerusalém oitocentas e trinta e duas pessoas.

29In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons: {persons: Heb. souls}

30No ano vinte e três de Nabucodonosor, Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, levou cativas, dos judeus, setecentas e quarenta e cinco pessoas; todas as pessoas foram quatro mil e seiscentas.

30In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons {were} four thousand and six hundred.

31Sucedeu, pois, no ano trigésimo sétimo do cativeiro de Jeoiaquim, rei de Judá, no duodécimo mês, aos vinte e cinco dias do mês, que Evil-Merodaque, rei de babilônia, no primeiro ano do seu reinado, levantou a cabeça de Jeoiaquim, rei de Judá, e tirou-o do cárcere;

31And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth {day} of the month, {that} Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the {first} year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,

32E falou com ele benignamente, e pôs o seu trono acima dos tronos dos reis que estavam com ele em babilônia;

32And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that {were} with him in Babylon, {kindly...: Heb. good things with him}

33E lhe fez mudar as vestes da sua prisão; e passou a comer pão sempre na presença do rei, todos os dias da sua vida.

33And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

34E, quanto à sua alimentação, foi-lhe dada refeição contínua do rei de babilônia, porção cotidiana, no seu dia, até o dia da sua morte, todos os dias da sua vida.

34And {for} his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life. {every...: Heb. the matter of the day in his day}
