Jeremias 33

1E veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, segunda vez, estando ele ainda encarcerado no pátio da guarda, dizendo:

1Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

2Assim diz o Senhor que faz isto, o Senhor que forma isto, para o estabelecer; o Senhor é o seu nome.

2Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD {is} his name; {the LORD is: or, JEHOVAH, etc}

3Clama a mim, e responder-te-ei, e anunciar-te-ei coisas grandes e firmes que não sabes.

3Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. {mighty: or, hidden}

4Porque assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, acerca das casas desta cidade, e das casas dos reis de Judá, que foram derrubadas com os aríetes e à espada.

4For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;

5Eles entraram a pelejar contra os caldeus, mas isso é para os encher de cadáveres de homens, que feri na minha ira e no meu furor; porquanto escondi o meu rosto desta cidade, por causa de toda a sua maldade.

5They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but {it is} to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

6Eis que eu trarei a ela saúde e cura, e os sararei, e lhes manifestarei abundância de paz e de verdade.

6Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

7E removerei o cativeiro de Judá e o cativeiro de Israel, e os edificarei como ao princípio.

7And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

8E os purificarei de toda a sua maldade com que pecaram contra mim; e perdoarei todas as suas maldades, com que pecaram e transgrediram contra mim;

8And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

9E este lugar me servirá de nome, de gozo, de louvor, e de glória, entre todas as nações da terra, que ouvirem todo o bem que eu lhe faço; e espantar-se-ão e perturbar-se-ão por causa de todo o bem, e por causa de toda a paz que eu lhe dou.

9And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

10Assim diz o Senhor: Neste lugar de que vós dizeis que está desolado, e sem homem, sem animal nas cidades de Judá, e nas ruas de Jerusalém, que estão assoladas, sem homem, sem morador, sem animal, ainda se ouvirá:

10Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say {shall be} desolate without man and without beast, {even} in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

11A voz de gozo, e a voz de alegria, a voz do esposo e a voz da esposa, e a voz dos que dizem: Louvai ao Senhor dos Exércitos, porque bom é o Senhor, porque a sua benignidade dura para sempre; dos que trazem ofertas de ação de graças à casa do Senhor; pois farei voltar os cativos da terra como ao princípio, diz o Senhor.

11The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD {is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever: {and} of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

12Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Ainda neste lugar, que está deserto, sem homem nem animal, e em todas as suas cidades, haverá uma morada de pastores, que façam repousar aos seus rebanhos.

12Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing {their} flocks to lie down.

13Nas cidades das montanhas, nas cidades das planícies, e nas cidades do sul, e na terra de Benjamim, e nos contornos de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, ainda passarão os rebanhos pelas mãos dos contadores, diz o Senhor.

13In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth {them}, saith the LORD.

14Eis que vêm dias, diz o Senhor, em que cumprirei a boa palavra que falei à casa de Israel e à casa de Judá;

14Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

15Naqueles dias e naquele tempo farei brotar a Davi um Renovo de justiça, e ele fará juízo e justiça na terra.

15In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

16Naqueles dias Judá será salvo e Jerusalém habitará seguramente; e este é o nome com o qual Deus a chamará: O Senhor é a nossa justiça.

16In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this {is the name} wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. {The LORD...: Heb. Jehovahtsidkenu}

17Porque assim diz o Senhor: Nunca faltará a Davi homem que se assente sobre o trono da casa de Israel;

17For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; {David...: Heb. There shall not be cut off from David}

18Nem aos sacerdotes levíticos faltará homem diante de mim, que ofereça holocausto, queime oferta de alimentos e faça sacrifício todos os dias.

18Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

19E veio a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:

19And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,

20Assim diz o Senhor: Se puderdes invalidar a minha aliança com o dia, e a minha aliança com a noite, de tal modo que não haja dia e noite a seu tempo,

20Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;

21Também se poderá invalidar a minha aliança com Davi, meu servo, para que não tenha filho que reine no seu trono; como também com os levitas, sacerdotes, meus ministros.

21{Then} may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

22Como não se pode contar o exército dos céus, nem medir-se a areia do mar, assim multiplicarei a descendência de Davi, meu servo, e os levitas que ministram diante de mim.

22As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

23E veio ainda a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:

23Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

24Porventura não tens visto o que este povo está dizendo: As duas gerações, que o Senhor escolheu, agora as rejeitou? Assim desprezam o meu povo, como se não fora mais uma nação diante deles.

24Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25Assim diz o Senhor: Se a minha aliança com o dia e com a noite não permanecer, e eu não puser as ordenanças dos céus e da terra,

25Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant {be} not with day and night, {and if} I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

26Também rejeitarei a descendência de Jacó, e de Davi, meu servo, para que não tome da sua descendência os que dominem sobre a descendência de Abraão, Isaque, e Jacó; porque removerei o seu cativeiro, e apiedar-me-ei deles.

26Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, {so} that I will not take {any} of his seed {to be} rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
