Jeremias 32

1A palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, no ano décimo de Zedequias, rei de Judá, o qual foi o décimo oitavo de Nabucodonosor.

1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which {was} the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

2Ora, nesse tempo o exército do rei de babilônia cercava Jerusalém; e Jeremias, o profeta, estava encerrado no pátio da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judá;

2For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which {was} in the king of Judah's house.

3Porque Zedequias, rei de Judá, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Por que profetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará;

3For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4E Zedequias, rei de Judá, não escapará das mãos dos caldeus; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de babilônia, e com ele falará boca a boca, e os seus olhos verão os dele;

4And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

5E ele levará Zedequias para babilônia, e ali estará, até que eu o visite, diz o SENHOR e, ainda que pelejeis contra os caldeus, não ganhareis?

5And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

6Disse, pois, Jeremias: Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

6And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

7Eis que Hanameel, filho de Salum, teu tio, virá a ti dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anatote, pois tens o direito de resgate para comprá-la.

7Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that {is} in Anathoth: for the right of redemption {is} thine to buy {it}.

8Veio, pois, a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do Senhor, ao pátio da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anatote, na terra de Benjamim; porque teu é o direito de herança, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do Senhor.

8So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that {is} in Anathoth, which {is} in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance {is} thine, and the redemption {is} thine; buy {it} for thyself. Then I knew that this {was} the word of the LORD.

9Comprei, pois, a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anatote; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezessete siclos de prata.

9And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that {was} in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, {even} seventeen shekels of silver. {seventeen...: or, seven shekels and ten pieces of silver}

10E assinei a escritura, e selei-a, e fiz confirmar por testemunhas; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro numa balança.

10And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed {it}, and took witnesses, and weighed {him} the money in the balances. {subscribed...: Heb. wrote in the book}

11E tomei a escritura da compra, selada segundo a lei e os estatutos, e a cópia aberta.

11So I took the evidence of the purchase, {both} that which was sealed {according} to the law and custom, and that which was open:

12E dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaséias, na presença de Hanameel, filho de meu tio e na presença das testemunhas, que subscreveram a escritura da compra, e na presença de todos os judeus que se assentavam no pátio da guarda.

12And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's {son}, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

13E dei ordem a Baruque, na presença deles, dizendo:

13And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estas escrituras, este auto de compra, tanto a selada, como a aberta, e coloca-as num vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias.

14Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

15Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas nesta terra.

15For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

16E depois que dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, orei ao Senhor, dizendo:

16Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

17Ah Senhor DEUS! Eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com o teu grande poder, e com o teu braço estendido; nada há que te seja demasiado difícil;

17Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, {and} there is nothing too hard for thee: {too...: or, hid from thee}

18Tu que usas de benignidade com milhares, e retribuis a maldade dos pais ao seio dos filhos depois deles; o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o Senhor dos Exércitos;

18Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, {is} his name,

19Grande em conselho, e magnífico em obras; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas obras;

19Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes {are} open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: {work: Heb. doing}

20Tu puseste sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, o qual tu tens neste dia.

20Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, {even} unto this day, and in Israel, and among {other} men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

21E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egito, com sinais e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto,

21And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

22E lhes deste esta terra, que juraste a seus pais que lhes havias de dar, terra que mana leite e mel.

22And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

23E entraram nela, e a possuíram, mas não obedeceram à tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, eles não o fizeram; por isso ordenaste lhes sucedesse todo este mal.

23And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

24Eis aqui os valados; já vieram contra a cidade para tomá-la, e a cidade está entregue na mão dos caldeus, que pelejam contra ela, pela espada, pela fome e pela pestilência; e o que disseste se cumpriu, e eis aqui o estás presenciando.

24Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest {it}. {mounts: or, engines of shot}

25Contudo tu me disseste, ó Senhor DEUS: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o confirmem testemunhas, embora a cidade já esteja entregue na mão dos caldeus.

25And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. {for the: or, though the}

26Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:

26Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

27Eis que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de toda a carne; acaso haveria alguma coisa demasiado difícil para mim?

27Behold, I {am} the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

28Portanto assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos caldeus, e na mão de Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará.

28Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

29E os caldeus, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão nela, e pôr-lhe-ão fogo, e queimarão, as casas sobre cujos terraços queimaram incenso a Baal e ofereceram libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem à ira.

29And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel nada fizeram senão provocar-me à ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o Senhor.

30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.

31Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me tem sido esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha presença;

31For this city hath been to me {as} a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, {a provocation...: Heb. for my anger}

32Por causa de toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judá, que fizeram, para me provocarem à ira, eles e os seus reis, os seus príncipes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus profetas, como também os homens de Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém.

32Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33E viraram-me as costas, e não o rosto; ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, contudo eles não deram ouvidos, para receberem o ensino.

33And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching {them}, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction. {back: Heb. neck}

34Antes puseram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem.

34But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

35E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no Vale do Filho de Hinom, para fazerem passar seus filhos e suas filhas pelo fogo a Moloque; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem veio ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação, para fazerem pecar a Judá.

35And they built the high places of Baal, which {are} in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through {the fire} unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

36E por isso agora assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, acerca desta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de babilônia, pela espada, pela fome, e pela pestilência:

36And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

37Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os tenho lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este lugar, e farei que habitem nele seguramente.

37Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38E eles serão o meu povo, e eu lhes serei o seu Deus;

38And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um só caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e o bem de seus filhos, depois deles.

39And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: {for ever: Heb. all days}

40E farei com eles uma aliança eterna de não me desviar de fazer-lhes o bem; e porei o meu temor nos seus corações, para que nunca se apartem de mim.

40And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. {from them: Heb. from after them}

41E alegrar-me-ei deles, fazendo-lhes bem; e plantá-los-ei nesta terra firmemente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.

41Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. {assuredly: Heb. in truth, or, stability}

42Porque assim diz o Senhor: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre ele todo o bem que lhes tenho declarado.

42For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

43E comprar-se-ão campos nesta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Está desolada, sem homens, sem animais; está entregue na mão dos caldeus.

43And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, {It is} desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

44Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e assinarão as escrituras, e as selarão, e farão que confirmem testemunhas, na terra de Benjamim, e nos contornos de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planícies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu cativeiro, diz o Senhor.

44Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal {them}, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
