Isaías 66

1Assim diz o SENHOR: O céu é o meu trono, e a terra o escabelo dos meus pés; que casa me edificaríeis vós? E qual seria o lugar do meu descanso?

1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven {is} my throne, and the earth {is} my footstool: where {is} the house that ye build unto me? and where {is} the place of my rest?

2Porque a minha mão fez todas estas coisas, e assim todas elas foram feitas, diz o Senhor; mas para esse olharei, para o pobre e abatido de espírito, e que treme da minha palavra.

2For all those {things} hath mine hand made, and all those {things} have been, saith the LORD: but to this {man} will I look, {even} to {him that is} poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

3Quem mata um boi é como o que tira a vida a um homem; quem sacrifica um cordeiro é como o que degola um cão; quem oferece uma oblação é como o que oferece sangue de porco; quem queima incenso em memorial é como o que bendiz a um ídolo; também estes escolhem os seus próprios caminhos, e a sua alma se deleita nas suas abominações.

3He that killeth an ox {is as if} he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, {as if} he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, {as if he offered} swine's blood; he that burneth incense, {as if} he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. {lamb: or, kid} {burneth: Heb. maketh a memorial of}

4Também eu escolherei as suas calamidades, farei vir sobre eles os seus temores; porquanto clamei e ninguém respondeu, falei e não escutaram; mas fizeram o que era mau aos meus olhos, e escolheram aquilo em que eu não tinha prazer.

4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose {that} in which I delighted not. {delusions: or, devices}

5Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, os que tremeis da sua palavra. Vossos irmãos, que vos odeiam e que para longe vos lançam por amor do meu nome, dizem: Seja glorificado o Senhor, para que vejamos a vossa alegria; mas eles serão confundidos.

5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

6Uma voz de grande rumor virá da cidade, uma voz do templo, a voz do Senhor, que dá o pago aos seus inimigos.

6A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

7Antes que estivesse de parto, deu à luz; antes que lhe viessem as dores, deu à luz um menino.

7Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

8Quem jamais ouviu tal coisa? Quem viu coisas semelhantes? Poder-se-ia fazer nascer uma terra num só dia? Nasceria uma nação de uma só vez? Mas Sião esteve de parto e já deu à luz seus filhos.

8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? {or} shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

9Abriria eu a madre, e não geraria? diz o Senhor; geraria eu, e fecharia a madre? diz o teu Deus.

9Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut {the womb}? saith thy God. {not...: or, not beget?}

10Regozijai-vos com Jerusalém, e alegrai-vos por ela, vós todos os que a amais; enchei-vos por ela de alegria, todos os que por ela pranteastes;

10Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

11Para que mameis, e vos farteis dos peitos das suas consolações; para que sugueis, e vos deleiteis com a abundância da sua glória.

11That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. {abundance: or, brightness}

12Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que estenderei sobre ela a paz como um rio, e a glória dos gentios como um ribeiro que transborda; então mamareis, ao colo vos trarão, e sobre os joelhos vos afagarão.

12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon {her} sides, and be dandled upon {her} knees.

13Como alguém a quem consola sua mãe, assim eu vos consolarei; e em Jerusalém vós sereis consolados.

13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14E vós vereis e alegrar-se-á o vosso coração, e os vossos ossos reverdecerão como a erva tenra; então a mão do Senhor será notória aos seus servos, e ele se indignará contra os seus inimigos.

14And when ye see {this}, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and {his} indignation toward his enemies.

15Porque, eis que o Senhor virá com fogo; e os seus carros como um torvelinho; para tornar a sua ira em furor, e a sua repreensão em chamas de fogo.

15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16Porque com fogo e com a sua espada entrará o Senhor em juízo com toda a carne; e os mortos do Senhor serão multiplicados.

16For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

17Os que se santificam, e se purificam, nos jardins uns após outros; os que comem carne de porco, e a abominação, e o rato, juntamente serão consumidos, diz o Senhor.

17They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one {tree} in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. {behind...: or, one after another}

18Porque conheço as suas obras e os seus pensamentos; vem o dia em que ajuntarei todas as nações e línguas; e virão e verão a minha glória.

18For I {know} their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

19E porei entre eles um sinal, e os que deles escaparem enviarei às nações, a Társis, Pul, e Lude, flecheiros, a Tubal e Javã, até às ilhas de mais longe, que não ouviram a minha fama, nem viram a minha glória; e anunciarão a minha glória entre os gentios.

19And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, {to} Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, {to} Tubal, and Javan, {to} the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

20E trarão a todos os vossos irmãos, dentre todas as nações, por oferta ao Senhor, sobre cavalos, e em carros, e em liteiras, e sobre mulas, e sobre dromedários, trarão ao meu santo monte, a Jerusalém, diz o Senhor; como quando os filhos de Israel trazem as suas ofertas em vasos limpos à casa do Senhor.

20And they shall bring all your brethren {for} an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. {litters: or, coaches}

21E também deles tomarei a alguns para sacerdotes e para levitas, diz o Senhor.

21And I will also take of them for priests {and} for Levites, saith the LORD.

22Porque, como os novos céus, e a nova terra, que hei de fazer, estarão diante da minha face, diz o Senhor, assim também há de estar a vossa posteridade e o vosso nome.

22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23E será que desde uma lua nova até à outra, e desde um sábado até ao outro, virá toda a carne a adorar perante mim, diz o Senhor.

23And it shall come to pass, {that} from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. {from one new...: Heb. from new moon to his new moon, and from sabbath to his sabbath}

24E sairão, e verão os cadáveres dos homens que prevaricaram contra mim; porque o seu verme nunca morrerá, nem o seu fogo se apagará; e serão um horror a toda a carne.

24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
