Isaías 54

1Canta alegremente, ó estéril, que não deste à luz; rompe em cântico, e exclama com alegria, tu que não tiveste dores de parto; porque mais são os filhos da mulher solitária, do que os filhos da casada, diz o SENHOR.

1Sing, O barren, thou {that} didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou {that} didst not travail with child: for more {are} the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

2Amplia o lugar da tua tenda, e estendam-se as cortinas das tuas habitações; não o impeças; alonga as tuas cordas, e fixa bem as tuas estacas.

2Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

3Porque transbordarás para a direita e para a esquerda; e a tua descendência possuirá os gentios e fará que sejam habitadas as cidades assoladas.

3For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

4Não temas, porque não serás envergonhada; e não te envergonhes, porque não serás humilhada; antes te esquecerás da vergonha da tua mocidade, e não te lembrarás mais do opróbrio da tua viuvez.

4Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

5Porque o teu Criador é o teu marido; o Senhor dos Exércitos é o seu nome; e o Santo de Israel é o teu Redentor; que é chamado o Deus de toda a terra.

5For thy Maker {is} thine husband; the LORD of hosts {is} his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. {Maker: Heb. Makers}

6Porque o Senhor te chamou como a mulher desamparada e triste de espírito; como a mulher da mocidade, que fora desprezada, diz o teu Deus.

6For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

7Por um breve momento te deixei, mas com grandes misericórdias te recolherei;

7For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

8Com um pouco de ira escondi a minha face de ti por um momento; mas com benignidade eterna me compadecerei de ti, diz o Senhor, o teu Redentor.

8In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

9Porque isto será para mim como as águas de Noé; pois jurei que as águas de Noé não passariam mais sobre a terra; assim jurei que não me irarei mais contra ti, nem te repreenderei.

9For this {is as} the waters of Noah unto me: for {as} I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

10Porque os montes se retirarão, e os outeiros serão abalados; porém a minha benignidade não se apartará de ti, e a aliança da minha paz não mudará, diz o Senhor que se compadece de ti.

10For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

11Tu, oprimida, arrojada com a tormenta e desconsolada, eis que eu assentarei as tuas pedras com todo o ornamento, e te fundarei sobre as safiras.

11O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, {and} not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

12E farei os teus vitrais de rubis, e as tuas portas de carbúnculos, e todos os teus termos de pedras aprazíveis.

12And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

13E todos os teus filhos serão ensinados do Senhor; e a paz de teus filhos será abundante.

13And all thy children {shall be} taught of the LORD; and great {shall be} the peace of thy children.

14Com justiça serás estabelecida; estarás longe da opressão, porque já não temerás; e também do terror, porque não chegará a ti.

14In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

15Eis que seguramente poderão vir a juntar-se contra ti, mas não será por mim; quem se ajuntar contra ti cairá por causa de ti.

15Behold, they shall surely gather together, {but} not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

16Eis que eu criei o ferreiro, que assopra as brasas no fogo, e que produz a ferramenta para a sua obra; também criei o assolador, para destruir.

16Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17Toda a ferramenta preparada contra ti não prosperará, e toda a língua que se levantar contra ti em juízo tu a condenarás; esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e a sua justiça que de mim procede, diz o Senhor.

17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue {that} shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This {is} the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness {is} of me, saith the LORD.
