Isaías 22

1Peso do vale da visão. Que tens agora, pois que com todos os teus subiste aos telhados?

1The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?

2Tu, cheia de clamores, cidade turbulenta, cidade alegre, os teus mortos não foram mortos à espada, nem morreram na guerra.

2Thou that art full of stirs, a tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain {men are} not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.

3Todos os teus governadores juntamente fugiram, foram atados pelos arqueiros; todos os que em ti se acharam, foram amarrados juntamente, e fugiram para longe.

3All thy rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, {which} have fled from far. {by...: Heb. of the bow}

4Portanto digo: Desviai de mim a vista, e chorarei amargamente; não vos canseis mais em consolar-me pela destruição da filha do meu povo.

4Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people. {weep...: Heb. be bitter in weeping}

5Porque dia de alvoroço, e de atropelamento, e de confusão é este da parte do Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos, no vale da visão; dia de derrubar o muro e de clamar até aos montes.

5For {it is} a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.

6Porque Elão tomou a aljava, juntamente com carros de homens e cavaleiros; e Quir descobriu os escudos.

6And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men {and} horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield. {uncovered: Heb. made naked}

7E os teus mais formosos vales se encherão de carros, e os cavaleiros se colocarão em ordem às portas.

7And it shall come to pass, {that} thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate. {thy...: Heb. the choice of thy valleys} {at: or, toward}

8E ele tirou a coberta de Judá, e naquele dia olhaste para as armas da casa do bosque.

8And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.

9E vistes as brechas da cidade de Davi, porquanto já eram muitas, e ajuntastes as águas do tanque de baixo.

9Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.

10Também contastes as casas de Jerusalém, e derrubastes as casas, para fortalecer os muros.

10And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.

11Fizestes também um reservatório entre os dois muros para as águas do tanque velho, porém não olhastes acima, para aquele que isto tinha feito, nem considerastes o que o formou desde a antiguidade.

11Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.

12E o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos, chamou naquele dia para chorar e para prantear, e para raspar a cabeça, e cingir com o cilício.

12And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

13Porém eis aqui gozo e alegria, matam-se bois e degolam-se ovelhas, come-se carne, e bebe-se vinho, e diz-se: Comamos e bebamos, porque amanhã morreremos.

13And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.

14Mas o SENHOR dos Exércitos revelou-se aos meus ouvidos, dizendo: Certamente esta maldade não vos será expiada até que morrais, diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos.

14And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

15Assim diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos: Anda e vai ter com este tesoureiro, com Sebna, o mordomo, e dize-lhe:

15Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, {even} unto Shebna, which {is} over the house, {and say},

16Que é que tens aqui, ou a quem tens tu aqui, para que cavasses aqui uma sepultura? Cavando em lugar alto a sua sepultura, e cinzelando na rocha uma morada para ti mesmo?

16What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, {as} he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, {and} that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock? {as...: or, O he}

17Eis que o Senhor te arrojará violentamente como um homem forte, e de todo te envolverá.

17Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. {will carry...: or, who covered thee with an excellent covering, and clothed thee gorgeously, (next verse) shall surely, etc} {a mighty...: Heb. the captivity of a man}

18Certamente com violência te fará rolar, como se faz rolar uma bola num país espaçoso; ali morrerás, e ali acabarão os carros da tua glória, ó opróbrio da casa do teu senhor.

18He will surely violently turn and toss thee {like} a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory {shall be} the shame of thy lord's house. {large: Heb. large of spaces}

19E demitir-te-ei do teu posto, e te arrancarei do teu assento.

19And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.

20E será naquele dia que chamarei a meu servo Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias;

20And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:

21E vesti-lo-ei da tua túnica, e cingi-lo-ei com o teu cinto, e entregarei nas suas mãos o teu domínio, e será como pai para os moradores de Jerusalém, e para a casa de Judá.

21And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

22E porei a chave da casa de Davi sobre o seu ombro, e abrirá, e ninguém fechará; e fechará, e ninguém abrirá.

22And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

23E fixá-lo-ei como a um prego num lugar firme, e será como um trono de honra para a casa de seu pai.

23And I will fasten him {as} a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.

24E nele pendurarão toda a honra da casa de seu pai, a prole e os descendentes, como também todos os vasos menores, desde as taças até os frascos.

24And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons. {vessels of flagons: or, instruments of viols}

25Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o prego fincado em lugar firme será tirado; e será cortado, e cairá, e a carga que nele estava se desprenderá, porque o Senhor o disse.

25In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that {was} upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken {it}.
