Isaías 19

1Peso do Egito. Eis que o SENHOR vem cavalgando numa nuvem ligeira, e entrará no Egito; e os ídolos do Egito estremecerão diante dele, e o coração dos egípcios se derreterá no meio deles.

1The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

2Porque farei com que os egípcios, se levantem contra os egípcios, e cada um pelejará contra o seu irmão, e cada um contra o seu próximo, cidade contra cidade, reino contra reino.

2And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, {and} kingdom against kingdom. {set: Heb. mingle}

3E o espírito do Egito se esvaecerá no seu interior, e destruirei o seu conselho; e eles consultarão aos seus ídolos, e encantadores, e aqueles que têm espíritos familiares e feiticeiros.

3And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. {fail: Heb. be emptied} {destroy: Heb. swallow up}

4E entregarei os egípcios nas mãos de um senhor cruel, e um rei rigoroso os dominará, diz o Senhor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos.

4And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. {give...: or, shut up}

5E secarão as águas do mar, e o rio se esgotará e ressequirá.

5And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.

6Também os rios exalarão mau cheiro e se esgotarão e secarão os canais do Egito; as canas e os juncos murcharão.

6And they shall turn the rivers far away; {and} the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

7A relva junto ao rio, junto às ribanceiras dos rios, e tudo o que foi semeado junto ao rio, secará, será arrancado e não subsistirá.

7The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no {more}. {and be...: Heb. and shall not be}

8E os pescadores gemerão, e suspirarão todos os que lançam anzol ao rio, e os que estendem rede sobre as águas desfalecerão.

8The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

9E envergonhar-se-ão os que trabalham em linho fino, e os que tecem pano branco.

9Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. {networks: or, white works}

10E os seus fundamentos serão despedaçados, e todos os que trabalham por salário ficarão com tristeza de alma.

10And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices {and} ponds for fish. {purposes: Heb. foundations} {for fish: Heb. of living things}

11Na verdade são loucos os príncipes de Zoã; o conselho dos sábios conselheiros de Faraó se embruteceu; como, pois, a Faraó direis: Sou filho de sábios, filho de antigos reis?

11Surely the princes of Zoan {are} fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I {am} the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

12Onde estão agora os teus sábios? Notifiquem-te agora, ou informem-te sobre o que o Senhor dos Exércitos determinou contra o Egito.

12Where {are} they? where {are} thy wise {men}? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.

13Loucos tornaram-se os príncipes de Zoã, enganados estão os príncipes de Nofe; eles fizeram errar o Egito, aqueles que são a pedra de esquina das suas tribos.

13The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, {even they that are} the stay of the tribes thereof. {they that...: or, governors: Heb. corners}

14O Senhor derramou no meio dele um perverso espírito; e eles fizeram errar o Egito em toda a sua obra, como o bêbado quando se revolve no seu vômito.

14The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken {man} staggereth in his vomit. {a perverse...: Heb. a spirit of perversities}

15E não aproveitará ao Egito obra alguma que possa fazer a cabeça, a cauda, o ramo, ou o junco.

15Neither shall there be {any} work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.

16Naquele tempo os egípcios serão como mulheres, e tremerão e temerão por causa do movimento da mão do Senhor dos Exércitos, que há de levantar-se contra eles.

16In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

17E a terra de Judá será um espanto para o Egito; todo aquele a quem isso se anunciar se assombrará, por causa do propósito do Senhor dos Exércitos, que determinou contra eles.

17And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

18Naquele tempo haverá cinco cidades na terra do Egito que falarão a língua de Canaã e farão juramento ao Senhor dos Exércitos; e uma se chamará: Cidade de destruição.

18In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. {the language: Heb. the lip} {of destruction: or, of Heres, or, of the sun}

19Naquele tempo o Senhor terá um altar no meio da terra do Egito, e uma coluna se erigirá ao Senhor, junto da sua fronteira.

19In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.

20E servirá de sinal e de testemunho ao Senhor dos Exércitos na terra do Egito, porque ao Senhor clamarão por causa dos opressores, e ele lhes enviará um salvador e um protetor, que os livrará.

20And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

21E o Senhor se dará a conhecer ao Egito, e os egípcios conhecerão ao Senhor naquele dia, e o adorarão com sacrifícios e ofertas, e farão votos ao Senhor, e os cumprirão.

21And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform {it}.

22E ferirá o Senhor ao Egito, ferirá e o curará; e converter-se-ão ao Senhor, e mover-se-á às suas orações, e os curará;

22And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal {it}: and they shall return {even} to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.

23Naquele dia haverá estrada do Egito até à Assíria, e os assírios virão ao Egito, e os egípcios irão à Assíria; e os egípcios servirão com os assírios.

23In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

24Naquele dia Israel será o terceiro com os egípcios e os assírios, uma bênção no meio da terra.

24In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, {even} a blessing in the midst of the land:

25Porque o Senhor dos Exércitos os abençoará, dizendo: Bendito seja o Egito, meu povo, e a Assíria, obra de minhas mãos, e Israel, minha herança.

25Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed {be} Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
