Isaías 15

1Peso de Moabe. Certamente numa noite foi destruída Ar de Moabe, e foi desfeita; certamente numa noite foi destruída Quir de Moabe e foi desfeita.

1The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, {and} brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, {and} brought to silence; {brought...: or, cut off}

2Vai subindo a Bajite, e a Dibom, aos lugares altos, para chorar; por Nebo e por Medeba clamará Moabe; todas as cabeças ficarão calvas, e toda a barba será rapada.

2He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads {shall be} baldness, {and} every beard cut off.

3Cingiram-se de sacos nas suas ruas; nos seus terraços e nas suas praças todos andam gritando, e choram abundantemente.

3In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly. {weeping...: Heb. descending into weeping, or, coming down with weeping}

4Assim Hesbom como Eleale, andam gritando; até Jaaz se ouve a sua voz; por isso os armados de Moabe clamam; a sua alma lhes será penosa.

4And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard {even} unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.

5O meu coração clama por causa de Moabe; os seus fugitivos foram até Zoar, como uma novilha de três anos; porque vão chorando pela subida de Luíte, porque no caminho de Horonaim levantam um lastimoso pranto.

5My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives {shall flee} unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. {his...: or, to the borders thereof, even to Zoar, as an heifer} {destruction: Heb. breaking}

6Porque as águas de Ninrim serão pura assolação; porque já secou o feno, acabou a erva, e não há verdura alguma.

6For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing. {desolate: Heb. desolations}

7Por isso a abundância que ajuntaram, e o que guardaram, ao ribeiro dos salgueiros o levarão.

7Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows. {brook...: or, valley of the Arabians}

8Porque o pranto rodeará aos limites de Moabe; até Eglaim chegará o seu clamor, e ainda até Beer-Elim chegará o seu lamento.

8For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beerelim.

9Porquanto as águas de Dimom estão cheias de sangue, porque ainda acrescentarei mais a Dimom; leões contra aqueles que escaparem de Moabe e contra o restante da terra.

9For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land. {more: Heb. additions}
