1Capítulo 12 — Continuem na unidade e no amor.

1Chapter 12 — Continue in unity and love.

2Saúdo-vos desde Esmirna, juntamente com as Igrejas de Deus que estão comigo, que me revigoraram em todas as coisas, tanto na carne como no espírito.

2I salute you from Smyrna, together with the Churches of God which are with me, who have refreshed me in all things, both in the flesh and in the spirit.

3Meus laços, que carrego comigo por causa de Jesus Cristo (orando para que eu possa chegar a Deus), exortam você.

3My bonds, which I carry about with me for the sake of Jesus Christ (praying that I may attain to God), exhort you.

4Continuem em harmonia entre si e em oração uns com os outros; pois cabe a cada um de vocês, e especialmente aos presbíteros, refrescar o bispo, para honra do Pai, de Jesus Cristo e dos apóstolos.

4Continue in harmony among yourselves, and in prayer with one another; for it becomes every one of you, and especially the presbyters, to refresh the bishop, to the honour of the Father, of Jesus Christ, and of the apostles.

5Rogo-vos com amor que me ouçam, para que eu, tendo escrito, não sirva de testemunho contra vós.

5I entreat you in love to hear me, that I may not, by having written, be a testimony against you.

6E orai também por mim, que necessito do vosso amor, juntamente com a misericórdia de Deus, para que eu seja digno da sorte a que estou destinado e para que não seja considerado réprobo.

6And do ye also pray for me, who have need of your love, along with the mercy of God, that I may be worthy of the lot for which I am destined, and that I may not be found reprobate.

7Saúdo-vos desde Esmirna, juntamente com as Igrejas de Deus que estão comigo, cujos governantes me revigoraram em todos os aspectos, tanto na carne como no espírito.

7I salute you from Smyrna, together with the Churches of God which are with me, whose rulers have refreshed me in every respect, both in the flesh and in the spirit.

8Meus laços, que carrego comigo por causa de Jesus Cristo (orando para que eu possa chegar a Deus), exortam você.

8My bonds, which I carry about with me for the sake of Jesus Christ (praying that I may attain to God), exhort you.

9Continuem em harmonia entre si e em súplica; pois cabe a cada um de vocês, e especialmente aos presbíteros, refrescar o bispo, para honra do Pai e para honra de Jesus Cristo e dos apóstolos.

9Continue in harmony among yourselves, and in supplication; for it becomes every one of you, and especially the presbyters, to refresh the bishop, to the honour of the Father, and to the honour of Jesus Christ and of the apostles.

10Rogo-vos com amor que me ouçam, para que, ao ter escrito assim, eu não possa servir de testemunho contra vocês.

10I entreat you in love to hear me, that I may not, by having thus written, be a testimony against you.

11E orai também por mim, que necessito do vosso amor, juntamente com a misericórdia de Deus, para que eu seja considerado digno de alcançar a sorte para a qual fui agora designado, e para que não seja considerado réprobo.

11And do ye also pray for me, who have need of your love, along with the mercy of God, that I may be thought worthy to attain the lot for which I am now designed, and that I may not be found reprobate.
