1Capítulo 11 — Evite os erros mortais dos Docetae.

1Chapter 11 — Avoid the deadly errors of the Docetae.

2Fuja, portanto, daqueles ramos malignos de Satanás, que produzem frutos mortíferos, dos quais, se alguém os provar, morrerá instantaneamente.

2Flee, therefore, those evil offshoots of Satan, which produce death-bearing fruit, whereof if any one tastes, he instantly dies.

3Pois estes homens não são plantação do Pai.

3For these men are not the planting of the Father.

4Pois se fossem, apareceriam como ramos da cruz, e seus frutos seriam incorruptíveis.

4For if they were, they would appear as branches of the cross, and their fruit would be incorruptible.

5Por meio dela, Ele os chama através de Sua paixão, como sendo Seus membros.

5By it He calls you through His passion, as being His members.

6A cabeça, portanto, não pode nascer por si mesma, sem os seus membros; Deus, que é o próprio Salvador, tendo prometido sua união.

6The head, therefore, cannot be born by itself, without its members; God, who is the Saviour Himself, having promised their union.

7Evitem também aqueles seus descendentes perversos, Simão, seu filho primogênito, e Menandro, e Basilides, e toda a sua turba perversa de seguidores, os adoradores de um homem, a quem também o profeta Jeremias declara amaldiçoado.

7Do ye also avoid those wicked offshoots of his, Simon his firstborn son, and Menander, and Basilides, and all his wicked mob of followers, the worshippers of a man, whom also the prophet Jeremiah pronounces accursed.

8Fuja também dos impuros nicolaítas, falsamente chamados, que são amantes dos prazeres e dados a discursos caluniosos.

8Flee also the impure Nicolaitanes, falsely so called, who are lovers of pleasure, and given to calumnious speeches.

9Evite também os filhos do maligno, Teódoto e Cleóbulo, que produzem frutos mortais, dos quais, se alguém provar, morre instantaneamente, e esta não é uma morte meramente temporária, mas uma que durará para sempre.

9Avoid also the children of the evil one, Theodotus and Cleobulus, who produce death-bearing fruit, whereof if any one tastes, he instantly dies, and that not a mere temporary death, but one that shall endure for ever.

10Esses homens não são plantação do Pai, mas são uma ninhada amaldiçoada.

10These men are not the planting of the Father, but are an accursed brood.

11E diz o Senhor: “Toda planta que meu Pai celestial não plantou seja arrancada”.

11And says the Lord, "Let every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted be rooted up".

12Pois se fossem ramos do Pai, não teriam sido “inimigos da cruz de Cristo”, mas sim daqueles que “mataram o Senhor da glória”.

12For if they had been branches of the Father, they would not have been "enemies of the cross of Christ," but rather of those who "killed the Lord of glory".

13Mas agora, ao negarem a cruz, e envergonharem-se da paixão, encobrem a transgressão dos judeus, esses lutadores contra Deus, esses assassinos do Senhor; pois era muito pouco classificá-los como meros assassinos dos profetas.

13But now, by denying the cross, and being ashamed of the passion, they cover the transgression of the Jews, those fighters against God, those murderers of the Lord; for it were too little to style them merely murderers of the prophets.

14Mas Cristo convida-vos a participar na Sua imortalidade, pela Sua paixão e ressurreição, na medida em que sois Seus membros.

14But Christ invites you to share in His immortality, by His passion and resurrection, inasmuch as ye are His members.
