2Agora escrevo-vos estas coisas desde Esmirna, pelos efésios, que são merecidamente muito felizes.

2Now I write these things to you from Smyrna by the Ephesians, who are deservedly most happy.

3Há também comigo, junto com muitos outros, Crocus, alguém muito querido por mim.

3There is also with me, along with many others, Crocus, one dearly beloved by me.

4Quanto àqueles que foram antes de mim da Síria para Roma para a glória de Deus, creio que os conheceis; a quem, então, fazeis saber que estou perto.

4As to those who have gone before me from Syria to Rome for the glory of God, I believe that you are acquainted with them; to whom, then, do ye make known that I am at hand.

5Pois todos são dignos, tanto de Deus como de você; e é conveniente que você os atualize em todas as coisas.

5For they are all worthy, both of God and of you; and it is becoming that you should refresh them in all things.

6Escrevi-vos estas coisas na véspera do nono dia das calendas de setembro (isto é, no vigésimo terceiro dia de agosto).

6I have written these things unto you, on the day before the ninth of the Kalends of September (that is, on the twenty-third day of August).

7Adeus até o fim, na paciência de Jesus Cristo, amém.

7Fare ye well to the end, in the patience of Jesus Christ, Amen.

10As to those who have gone before me from Syria to Rome for the glory of God, I believe that you are acquainted with them; to whom, then, do ye make known that I am at hand.

11Pois todos são dignos, tanto de Deus como de você; e é conveniente que você os atualize em todas as coisas.

11For they are all worthy, both of God and of you; and it is becoming that you should refresh them in all things.

12Escrevi-vos estas coisas na véspera do dia nove das calendas de setembro.

12I have written these things unto you on the day before the ninth of the Kalends of September.

13Passai bem até o fim, na paciência de Jesus Cristo.

13Fare ye well to the end, in the patience of Jesus Christ.
