2Não deixemos as viúvas serem negligenciadas.

2Let not widows be neglected.

3Sê tu, segundo o Senhor, seu protetor e amigo.

3Be thou, after the Lord, their protector and friend.

4Não deixe nada ser feito sem o seu consentimento; nem faças nada sem a aprovação de Deus, o que de fato não fazes, visto que és constante.

4Let nothing be done without thy consent; neither do thou anything without the approval of God, which indeed thou dost not, inasmuch as thou art stedfast.

5Deixe que sua reunião seja frequente: procure, afinal, pelo nome.

5Let your assembling together be of frequent occurrence: seek after all by name.

6Não desprezeis escravos ou escravas, mas nem os deixeis enfunados de vaidade, mas antes deixe-os submeter-se ainda mais, para a glória de Deus, para que possam obter de Deus uma liberdade melhor.

6Do not despise either male or female slaves, yet neither let them be puffed up with conceit, but rather let them submit themselves the more, for the glory of God, that they may obtain from God a better liberty.

7Que não desejem ser libertados da escravidão às custas públicas, que não sejam considerados escravos de seus próprios desejos.

7Let them not long to be set free from slavery at the public expense, that they be not found slaves to their own desires.

13Não desprezeis escravos ou escravas, mas nem os deixeis enfunados de vaidade, mas antes deixe-os submeter-se ainda mais, para a glória de Deus, para que possam obter de Deus uma liberdade melhor.
