1Capítulo 7 — Nada faças sem o bispo e os presbíteros.

1Chapter 7 — Do nothing without the bishop and presbyters.

2Assim como o Senhor nada fez sem o Pai, estando unido a Ele, nem por si mesmo nem pelos apóstolos, assim também vós nada fizestes sem o bispo e os presbíteros.

2As therefore the Lord did nothing without the Father, being united to Him, neither by Himself nor by the apostles, so neither do ye anything without the bishop and presbyters.

3Nem se esforcem para que algo pareça razoável e adequado para vocês mesmos; mas estando reunidos no mesmo lugar, que haja uma oração, uma súplica, uma mente, uma esperança, em amor e em alegria imaculada.

3Neither endeavour that anything appear reasonable and proper to yourselves apart; but being come together into the same place, let there be one prayer, one supplication, one mind, one hope, in love and in joy undefiled.

4Há um Jesus Cristo, do qual nada é mais excelente.

4There is one Jesus Christ, than whom nothing is more excellent.

5Portanto, corramos todos juntos como para um só templo de Deus, como para um só altar, como para um só Jesus Cristo, que veio de um só Pai, e está com um e foi para um.

5Do ye therefore all run together as into one temple of God, as to one altar, as to one Jesus Christ, who came forth from one Father, and is with and has gone to one.

6Assim como o Senhor não faz nada sem o Pai, pois diz Ele: “Eu não posso fazer nada por mim mesmo”, assim também vocês, nem presbítero, nem diácono, nem leigo, fazem nada sem o bispo.

6As therefore the Lord does nothing without the Father, for says He, "I can of mine own self do nothing," so do ye, neither presbyter, nor deacon, nor layman, do anything without the bishop.

7Nem deixe que nada pareça louvável para você que seja destituído de sua aprovação.

7Nor let anything appear commendable to you which is destitute of his approval.

8Pois tudo isso é pecaminoso e oposto à vontade de Deus.

8For every such thing is sinful, and opposed to the will of God.

9Todos vocês se reúnem no mesmo lugar para orar.

9Do ye all come together into the same place for prayer.

10Que haja uma súplica comum, uma mente, uma esperança, com fé irrepreensível em Cristo Jesus, do que nada é mais excelente.

10Let there be one common supplication, one mind, one hope, with faith unblameable in Christ Jesus, than which nothing is more excellent.

11Todos vós, como um só homem, corramos juntos para o templo de Deus, como para um só altar, para um só Jesus Cristo, o Sumo Sacerdote do Deus não gerado.

11Do ye all, as one man, run together into the temple of God, as unto one altar, to one Jesus Christ, the High Priest of the unbegotten God.
