Inácio aos Filadélfios 6

1Capítulo 6 — Não aceite o Judaísmo.

1Chapter 6 — Do not accept Judaism.

2Mas se alguém vos pregar a lei judaica, não lhe deis ouvidos.

2But if any one preach the Jewish law unto you, listen not to him.

3Pois é melhor ouvir a doutrina cristã de um homem que foi circuncidado, do que o judaísmo de um incircunciso.

3For it is better to hearken to Christian doctrine from a man who has been circumcised, than to Judaism from one uncircumcised.

4Mas se qualquer uma dessas pessoas não fala a respeito de Jesus Cristo, elas são, em minha opinião, apenas como monumentos e sepulcros dos mortos, nos quais estão escritos apenas os nomes dos homens.

4But if either of such persons do not speak concerning Jesus Christ, they are in my judgment but as monuments and sepulchres of the dead, upon which are written only the names of men.

5Fugi, portanto, dos artifícios e armadilhas perversos do príncipe deste mundo, para que em algum momento, sendo conquistados por seus artifícios, não enfraqueçais em vosso amor.

5Flee therefore the wicked devices and snares of the prince of this world, lest at any time being conquered by his artifices, ye grow weak in your love.

6Mas estejam todos unidos com um coração indiviso.

6But be ye all joined together with an undivided heart.

7E agradeço ao meu Deus por ter uma boa consciência em relação a você, e por ninguém ter o poder de se gabar, seja em particular ou publicamente, de que sobrecarreguei alguém, seja com muito ou com pouco.

7And I thank my God that I have a good conscience in respect to you, and that no one has it in his power to boast, either privately or publicly, that I have burdened any one either in much or in little.

8E desejo que todos entre os quais falei, que não possuam isso como testemunho contra eles.

8And I wish for all among whom I have spoken, that they may not possess that for a testimony against them.

9Se alguém prega o único Deus da lei e dos profetas, mas nega que Cristo seja o Filho de Deus, ele é um mentiroso, assim como seu pai, o diabo, e é um judeu falsamente chamado, sendo possuído por mera circuncisão carnal.

9If any one preaches the one God of the law and the prophets, but denies Christ to be the Son of God, he is a liar, even as also is his father the devil, and is a Jew falsely so called, being possessed of mere carnal circumcision.

10Se alguém confessa Cristo Jesus, o Senhor, mas nega o Deus da lei e dos profetas, dizendo que o Pai de Cristo não é o Criador dos céus e da terra, ele não permaneceu na verdade mais do que seu pai, o diabo, e é discípulo de Simão, o Mago, não do Espírito Santo.

10If any one confesses Christ Jesus the Lord, but denies the God of the law and of the prophets, saying that the Father of Christ is not the Maker of heaven and earth, he has not continued in the truth any more than his father the devil, and is a disciple of Simon Magus, not of the Holy Spirit.

11Se alguém diz que há um só Deus, e também confessa Cristo Jesus, mas pensa que o Senhor é um mero homem, e não o Deus unigênito, e a Sabedoria, e a Palavra de Deus, e considera que Ele consiste apenas de uma alma e corpo, tal pessoa é uma serpente, que prega o engano e o erro para a destruição dos homens.

11If any one says there is one God, and also confesses Christ Jesus, but thinks the Lord to be a mere man, and not the only-begotten God, and Wisdom, and the Word of God, and deems Him to consist merely of a soul and body, such an one is a serpent, that preaches deceit and error for the destruction of men.

12E tal homem é pobre em entendimento, mesmo sendo pelo nome um ebionita.

12And such a man is poor in understanding, even as by name he is an Ebionite.

13Se alguém confessa as verdades mencionadas, mas chama o casamento legítimo e a procriação de filhos de destruição e poluição, ou considera certos tipos de alimentos abomináveis, tal pessoa tem o dragão apóstata habitando dentro de si.

13If any one confesses the truths mentioned, but calls lawful wedlock, and the procreation of children, destruction and pollution, or deems certain kinds of food abominable, such an one has the apostate dragon dwelling within him.

14Se alguém confessa o Pai, e o Filho, e o Espírito Santo, e elogia a criação, mas chama a encarnação de mera aparência, e se envergonha da paixão, tal pessoa negou a fé, não menos do que os judeus que mataram Cristo.

14If any one confesses the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and praises the creation, but calls the incarnation merely an appearance, and is ashamed of the passion, such an one has denied the faith, not less than the Jews who killed Christ.

15Se alguém confessar estas coisas, e que Deus, o Verbo, habitou num corpo humano, estando nele como o Verbo, assim como a alma também está no corpo, porque foi Deus quem o habitou, e não uma alma humana, mas afirma que as uniões ilegais são uma coisa boa, e coloca a maior felicidade no prazer, como faz o homem que é falsamente chamado de nicolaíta, essa pessoa não pode ser um amante de Deus, nem um amante de Cristo, mas é um corruptor de sua própria carne, e, portanto, vazio do Espírito Santo e estranho a Cristo.

15If any one confesses these things, and that God the Word did dwell in a human body, being within it as the Word, even as the soul also is in the body, because it was God that inhabited it, and not a human soul, but affirms that unlawful unions are a good thing, and places the highest happiness in pleasure, as does the man who is falsely called a Nicolaitan, this person can neither be a lover of God, nor a lover of Christ, but is a corrupter of his own flesh, and therefore void of the Holy Spirit, and a stranger to Christ.

16Todas essas pessoas são apenas monumentos e sepulcros de mortos, nos quais estão escritos apenas os nomes dos mortos.

16All such persons are but monuments and sepulchres of the dead, upon which are written only the names of dead men.

17Fujam, portanto, dos artifícios e armadilhas perversos do espírito que agora operam nos filhos deste mundo, para que em algum momento, sendo vencidos, vocês não enfraqueçam em seu amor.

17Flee, therefore, the wicked devices and snares of the spirit which now worketh in the children of this world, lest at any time being overcome, ye grow weak in your love.

18Mas estejam todos unidos com um coração indiviso e uma mente disposta, "sendo unânimes e de um mesmo julgamento", tendo sempre a mesma opinião sobre as mesmas coisas, tanto quando você está à vontade quanto em perigo, tanto na tristeza quanto na alegria.

18But be ye all joined together with an undivided heart and a willing mind, "being of one accord and of one judgment," being always of the same opinion about the same things, both when you are at ease and in danger, both in sorrow and in joy.

19Agradeço a Deus, por meio de Jesus Cristo, por ter uma boa consciência em relação a vocês e por ninguém ter o poder de se gabar, seja em particular ou em público, de ter sobrecarregado alguém com muito ou pouco.

19I thank God, through Jesus Christ, that I have a good conscience in respect to you, and that no one has it in his power to boast, either privately or publicly, that I have burdened any one either in much or in little.

20E desejo que todos entre os quais falei, que não possuam isso como testemunho contra eles.

20And I wish for all among whom I have spoken, that they may not possess that for a testimony against them.
