1Capítulo 2 — Manter a união com o bispo.

1Chapter 2 — Maintain union with the bishop.

2Portanto, como filhos da luz e da verdade, fujam da divisão e das doutrinas iníquas; mas onde está o pastor, aí segui-los como ovelhas.

2Wherefore, as children of light and truth, flee from division and wicked doctrines; but where the shepherd is, there do ye as sheep follow.

3Pois há muitos lobos que parecem dignos de crédito, que, por meio de um prazer pernicioso, levam cativos aqueles que correm para Deus; mas na sua unidade eles não terão lugar.

3For there are many wolves that appear worthy of credit, who, by means of a pernicious pleasure, carry captive those that are running towards God; but in your unity they shall have no place.

4Portanto, como filhos da luz e da verdade, evitem a divisão da sua unidade e a doutrina perversa dos hereges, de quem “uma influência contaminadora se espalhou por toda a terra”.

4Wherefore, as children of light and truth, avoid the dividing of your unity, and the wicked doctrine of the heretics, from whom "a defiling influence has gone forth into all the earth".

5Mas onde está o pastor, aí segui-los como ovelhas.

5But where the shepherd is, there do ye as sheep follow.

6Pois há muitos lobos em pele de cordeiro que, por meio de um prazer pernicioso, levam cativos aqueles que correm para Deus; mas na sua unidade eles não terão lugar.

6For there are many wolves in sheep's clothing, who, by means of a pernicious pleasure, carry captive those that are running towards God; but in your unity they shall have no place.
