1Capítulo 11 - Obrigado e saudação.

1Chapter 11 — Thanks and salutation.

2Agora, quanto a Fílon, o diácono, da Cilícia, um homem de reputação, que ainda me ministra na palavra de Deus, junto com Rheus Agathopus, um homem eleito, que me seguiu desde a Síria, não no que diz respeito à sua vida, - estes dão testemunho em seu favor; e eu mesmo dou graças a Deus por vós, porque os recebestes, assim como o Senhor vós.

2Now, as to Philo the deacon, of Cilicia, a man of reputation, who still ministers to me in the word of God, along with Rheus Agathopus, an elect man, who has followed me from Syria, not regarding his life,—these bear witness in your behalf; and I myself give thanks to God for you, that ye have received them, even as the Lord you.

3Mas que aqueles que os desonraram sejam perdoados pela graça de Jesus Cristo! O amor dos irmãos de Trôade saúda você; de onde também lhe escrevo por Burrhus, que foi enviado comigo pelos efésios e esmirnenses, para mostrar seu respeito.

3But may those that dishonoured them be forgiven through the grace of Jesus Christ! The love of the brethren at Troas salutes you; whence also I write to you by Burrhus, who was sent along with me by the Ephesians and Smyrnaeans, to show their respect.

4Que o Senhor Jesus Cristo os honre, em quem eles esperam, em carne, e alma, e fé, e amor, e concórdia! Passai bem em Cristo Jesus, nossa esperança comum.

4May the Lord Jesus Christ honour them, in whom they hope, in flesh, and soul, and faith, and love, and concord! Fare ye well in Christ Jesus, our common hope.

5Agora, quanto a Fílon, o diácono, homem da Cilícia, de grande reputação, que ainda me ministra na palavra de Deus, juntamente com Gaio e Agátopo, um homem eleito, que me seguiu desde a Síria, não no que diz respeito à sua vida, - estes também dão testemunho em vosso favor.

5Now, as to Philo the deacon, a man of Cilicia, of high reputation, who still ministers to me in the word of God, along with Gaius and Agathopus, an elect man, who has followed me from Syria, not regarding his life,—these also bear testimony in your behalf.

6E eu mesmo dou graças a Deus por vós, porque os recebestes; e o Senhor também vos receberá.

6And I myself give thanks to God for you, because ye have received them: and the Lord will also receive you.

7Mas que aqueles que os desonraram sejam perdoados pela graça de Jesus Cristo, “que não deseja a morte do pecador, mas o seu arrependimento”.

7But may those that dishonoured them be forgiven through the grace of Jesus Christ, "who wisheth not the death of the sinner, but his repentance".

8O amor dos irmãos de Trôade saúda você; de onde também vos escrevo por Burrhus, que foi enviado comigo pelos efésios e esmirnenses, para mostrar seu respeito: a quem o Senhor Jesus Cristo retribuirá, em quem eles esperam, em carne, e alma, e espírito, e fé, e amor, e concórdia.

8The love of the brethren at Troas salutes you; whence also I write to you by Burrhus, who was sent along with me by the Ephesians and Smyrnaeans, to show their respect: whom the Lord Jesus Christ will requite, in whom they hope, in flesh, and soul, and spirit, and faith, and love, and concord.

9Passai bem no Senhor Jesus Cristo, nossa esperança comum, no Espírito Santo.

9Fare ye well in the Lord Jesus Christ, our common hope, in the Holy Ghost.
