1Capítulo 6 — Os incrédulos no sangue de Cristo serão condenados.

1Chapter 6 —Unbelievers in the blood of Christ shall be condemned.

2Que nenhum homem se engane.

2Let no man deceive himself.

3Tanto as coisas que estão no céu, como os anjos gloriosos e governantes, tanto visíveis como invisíveis, se não crerem no sangue de Cristo, incorrerão, em consequência, em condenação.

3Both the things which are in heaven, and the glorious angels, and rulers, both visible and invisible, if they believe not in the blood of Christ, shall, in consequence, incur condemnation.

4“Quem pode receber, receba”.

4"He that is able to receive it, let him receive it".

5Não encha ninguém de posição elevada: pois o que vale tudo é a fé e o amor, aos quais nada deve ser preferido.

5Let not high place puff any one up: for that which is worth all is faith and love, to which nothing is to be preferred.

6Mas considere aqueles que têm uma opinião diferente com respeito à graça de Cristo que veio até nós, quão opostos eles são à vontade de Deus.

6But consider those who are of a different opinion with respect to the grace of Christ which has come unto us, how opposed they are to the will of God.

7Eles não têm consideração pelo amor; nenhum cuidado com a viúva, ou com o órfão, ou com o oprimido; do vínculo ou do livre; dos famintos ou dos sedentos.

7They have no regard for love; no care for the widow, or the orphan, or the oppressed; of the bond, or of the free; of the hungry, or of the thirsty.

8Que nenhum homem se engane.

8Let no man deceive himself.

9A menos que ele acredite que Cristo Jesus viveu na carne, e confesse Sua cruz e paixão, e o sangue que Ele derramou para a salvação do mundo, ele não obterá a vida eterna, seja ele um rei, ou um sacerdote, ou um governante, ou uma pessoa privada, um mestre ou um servo, um homem ou uma mulher.

9Unless he believes that Christ Jesus has lived in the flesh, and shall confess His cross and passion, and the blood which He shed for the salvation of the world, he shall not obtain eternal life, whether he be a king, or a priest, or a ruler, or a private person, a master or a servant, a man or a woman.

10“Quem pode receber, receba”.

10"He that is able to receive it, let him receive it".

11Que a posição, a dignidade ou as riquezas de nenhum homem o encha; e não deixe que a condição baixa ou a pobreza de nenhum homem o humilhe.

11Let no man's place, or dignity, or riches, puff him up; and let no man's low condition or poverty abase him.

12Pois os pontos principais são a fé em Deus, a esperança em Cristo, o desfrute das coisas boas que buscamos e o amor a Deus e ao próximo.

12For the chief points are faith towards God, hope towards Christ, the enjoyment of those good things for which we look, and love towards God and our neighbour.

13Pois: “Amarás ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo”.

13For, "Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and thy neighbour as thyself".

14E o Senhor diz: “Esta é a vida eterna: conhecer o único Deus verdadeiro e Jesus Cristo, a quem Ele enviou”.

14And the Lord says, "This is life eternal, to know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent".

15E novamente: “Um novo mandamento vos dou: que vos ameis uns aos outros.

15And again, "A new commandment give I unto you, that ye love one another.

16Destes dois mandamentos dependem toda a lei e os profetas”.

16On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets".

17Observeis, portanto, aqueles que pregam outras doutrinas, como afirmam que o Pai de Cristo não pode ser conhecido e como exibem inimizade e engano em suas relações uns com os outros.

17Do ye, therefore, notice those who preach other doctrines, how they affirm that the Father of Christ cannot be known, and how they exhibit enmity and deceit in their dealings with one another.

18Eles não têm consideração pelo amor; eles desprezam as coisas boas que esperamos no futuro; eles consideram as coisas presentes como se fossem duráveis; eles ridicularizam aquele que está em aflição; eles riem daquele que está preso.

18They have no regard for love; they despise the good things we expect hereafter; they regard present things as if they were durable; they ridicule him that is in affliction; they laugh at him that is in bonds.
