1Capítulo 10 - Reconhecimento de sua gentileza.

1Chapter 10 — Acknowledgment of their kindness.

2Vocês fizeram bem em receber Philo e Rheus Agathopus como servos de Cristo nosso Deus, que me seguiram por causa de Deus, e que dão graças ao Senhor em seu nome, porque vocês os refrescaram de todas as maneiras.

2Ye have done well in receiving Philo and Rheus Agathopus as servants of Christ our God, who have followed me for the sake of God, and who give thanks to the Lord in your behalf, because ye have in every way refreshed them.

3Nenhuma dessas coisas será perdida para você.

3None of these things shall be lost to you.

4Que o meu espírito esteja com vocês e as minhas cadeias, das quais vocês não desprezaram nem se envergonharam; nem Jesus Cristo, nossa perfeita esperança, se envergonhará de você.

4May my spirit be for you, and my bonds, which ye have not despised or been ashamed of; nor shall Jesus Christ, our perfect hope, be ashamed of you.

5Vocês fizeram bem em receber Filo, Gaio e Agátopo, que, sendo servos de Cristo, me seguiram por causa de Deus e que abençoam grandemente o Senhor em seu favor, porque vocês os refrescaram de todas as maneiras.

5Ye have done well in receiving Philo, and Gaius, and Agathopus, who, being the servants of Christ, have followed me for the sake of God, and who greatly bless the Lord in your behalf, because ye have in every way refreshed them.

6Nenhuma das coisas que vocês fizeram a eles passarão despercebidas sem serem contadas a vocês.

6None of those things which ye have done to them shall be passed by without being reckoned unto you.

7"O Senhor conceda" a você "que você possa encontrar misericórdia do Senhor naquele dia!" Que meu espírito seja para você, e meus laços, que você não desprezou nem se envergonhou.

7"The Lord grant" to you "that ye may find mercy of the Lord in that day!" May my spirit be for you, and my bonds, which ye have not despised or been ashamed of.

8Portanto, nem Jesus Cristo, nossa perfeita esperança, se envergonhará de vocês.

8Wherefore, neither shall Jesus Christ, our perfect hope, be ashamed of you.
