Inácio aos Efésios 4

1Capítulo 4 — O mesmo continuou.

1Chapter 4 — The same continued.

2Portanto é apropriado que vocês corram juntos de acordo com a vontade de seu bispo, o que vocês também fazem.

2Wherefore it is fitting that ye should run together in accordance with the will of your bishop, which thing also ye do.

3Pois o vosso presbitério justamente renomado, digno de Deus, está ajustado tão exatamente ao bispo quanto as cordas estão à harpa.

3For your justly renowned presbytery, worthy of God, is fitted as exactly to the bishop as the strings are to the harp.

4Portanto, em sua concórdia e amor harmonioso, Jesus Cristo é cantado.

4Therefore in your concord and harmonious love, Jesus Christ is sung.

5E tornem-se, homem por homem, um coro, para que, sendo harmoniosos no amor e cantando o cântico de Deus em uníssono, possam com uma só voz cantar ao Pai por meio de Jesus Cristo, para que Ele possa ouvi-los e perceber por suas obras que vocês são realmente membros de Seu Filho.

5And do ye, man by man, become a choir, that being harmonious in love, and taking up the song of God in unison, ye may with one voice sing to the Father through Jesus Christ, so that He may both hear you, and perceive by your works that ye are indeed the members of His Son.

6É proveitoso, portanto, que vocês vivam em uma unidade irrepreensível, para que possam sempre desfrutar da comunhão com Deus.

6It is profitable, therefore, that you should live in an unblameable unity, that thus ye may always enjoy communion with God.

7Portanto, é apropriado que vocês também corram juntos de acordo com a vontade do bispo que, pela designação de Deus, governa sobre vocês.

7Wherefore it is fitting that ye also should run together in accordance with the will of the bishop who by God's appointment rules over you.

8O que de fato vocês fazem por si mesmos, sendo instruídos pelo Espírito.

8Which thing ye indeed of yourselves do, being instructed by the Spirit.

9Pois o seu presbitério justamente renomado, sendo digno de Deus, é adequado ao bispo com tanta exatidão quanto as cordas à harpa.

9For your justly-renowned presbytery, being worthy of God, is fitted as exactly to the bishop as the strings are to the harp.

10Assim, estando unidos em concórdia e amor harmonioso, do qual Jesus Cristo é o Capitão e Guardião, tornai-vos, homem por homem, um só coro; para que, concordando em concórdia e obtendo uma unidade perfeita com Deus, vocês possam realmente ser um em sentimento harmonioso com Deus, o Pai, e com Seu amado Filho Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor.

10Thus, being joined together in concord and harmonious love, of which Jesus Christ is the Captain and Guardian, do ye, man by man, become but one choir; so that, agreeing together in concord, and obtaining a perfect unity with God, ye may indeed be one in harmonious feeling with God the Father, and His beloved Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

11Pois, diz Ele, “Concede-lhes, Santo Padre, que assim como eu e Tu somos um, eles também possam ser um em nós”.

11For, says He, "Grant unto them, Holy Father, that as I and Thou are one, they also may be one in us".

12É, portanto, proveitoso que vocês, unidos a Deus em uma unidade irrepreensível, sejam seguidores do exemplo de Cristo, do qual também são membros.

12It is therefore profitable that you, being joined together with God in an unblameable unity, should be the followers of the example of Christ, of whom also ye are members.
