2Quanto ao meu conservo Burrhus, seu diácono em relação a Deus e abençoado em todas as coisas, imploro que ele continue por mais tempo, tanto para sua honra quanto para a de seu bispo.

2As to my fellow-servant Burrhus, your deacon in regard to God and blessed in all things, I beg that he may continue longer, both for your honour and that of your bishop.

3E Crocus também, digno de Deus e de você, a quem recebi como manifestação de seu amor, em todas as coisas me refrescou, como o Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo também o refrescará; junto com Onésimo, e Burrhus, e Euplus, e Fronto, por meio de quem, como por amor, contemplei todos vocês.

3And Crocus also, worthy both of God and you, whom I have received as the manifestation of your love, hath in all things refreshed me, as the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ shall also refresh him; together with Onesimus, and Burrhus, and Euplus, and Fronto, by means of whom, I have, as to love, beheld all of you.

4Que eu sempre tenha alegria com você, se de fato for digno disso.

4May I always have joy of you, if indeed I be worthy of it.

5Portanto, é apropriado que vocês glorifiquem de todas as maneiras a Jesus Cristo, que os glorificou, para que, por uma obediência unânime, “estejam perfeitamente unidos na mesma mente e no mesmo julgamento, e possam todos falar a mesma coisa a respeito da mesma coisa”, e que, estando sujeitos ao bispo e ao presbitério, possam ser santificados em todos os aspectos.

5It is therefore befitting that you should in every way glorify Jesus Christ, who hath glorified you, that by a unanimous obedience "ye may be perfectly joined together in the same mind, and in the same judgment, and may all speak the same thing concerning the same thing," and that, being subject to the bishop and the presbytery, ye may in all respects be sanctified.

6Quanto ao nosso conservo Burrhus, seu diácono em relação a Deus e abençoado em todas as coisas, rezo para que ele continue irrepreensível para a honra da Igreja e de seu abençoado bispo.

6As to our fellow-servant Burrhus, your deacon in regard to God and blessed in all things, I pray that he may continue blameless for the honour of the Church, and of your most blessed bishop.

7Crocus também, digno de Deus e de você, a quem recebemos como a manifestação de seu amor por nós, em todas as coisas me revigorou e "não se envergonhou de minha cadeia", como o Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo também o refrescará; junto com Onésimo, e Burrhus, e Euplus, e Fronto, por meio de quem eu, como por amor, contemplei todos vocês.

7Crocus also, worthy both of God and you, whom we have received as the manifestation of your love to us, hath in all things refreshed me, and "hath not been ashamed of my chain," as the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will also refresh him; together with Onesimus, and Burrhus, and Euplus, and Fronto, by means of whom I have, as to love, beheld all of you.

8Que eu sempre tenha alegria com você, se de fato for digno disso.

8May I always have joy of you, if indeed I be worthy of it.
