Inácio aos Efésios 16

1Capítulo 16 — O destino dos falsos mestres.

1Chapter 16 — The fate of false teachers.

2Não erre, meus irmãos.

2Do not err, my brethren.

3Aqueles que corrompem famílias não herdarão o reino de Deus.

3Those that corrupt families shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

4Se, então, aqueles que fazem isso no que diz respeito à carne sofreram a morte, quanto mais será este o caso de alguém que corrompa por doutrinas perversas a fé de Deus, pela qual Jesus Cristo foi crucificado! Tal pessoa que se tornar contaminada dessa maneira irá para o fogo eterno, e o mesmo acontecerá com todo aquele que lhe der ouvidos.

4If, then, those who do this as respects the flesh have suffered death, how much more shall this be the case with any one who corrupts by wicked doctrine the faith of God, for which Jesus Christ was crucified! Such an one becoming defiled in this way, shall go away into everlasting fire, and so shall every one that hearkens unto him.

6Aqueles que corrompem famílias não herdarão o reino de Deus.

6Those that corrupt families shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

7E se aqueles que corrompem meras famílias humanas são condenados à morte, quanto mais sofrerão o castigo eterno aqueles que se esforçam para corromper a Igreja de Cristo, pela qual o Senhor Jesus, o Filho unigênito de Deus, suportou a cruz e se submeteu à morte! Todo aquele que, “engordando” e “tornando-se grosseiro”, despreza Sua doutrina, irá para o inferno.

7And if those that corrupt mere human families are condemned to death, how much more shall those suffer everlasting punishment who endeavour to corrupt the Church of Christ, for which the Lord Jesus, the only-begotten Son of God, endured the cross, and submitted to death! Whosoever, "being waxen fat," and "become gross," sets at nought His doctrine, shall go into hell.

8Da mesma forma, todo aquele que recebeu de Deus o poder de distinguir, e ainda assim segue um pastor inábil, e recebe uma opinião falsa em favor da verdade, será punido.

8In like manner, every one that has received from God the power of distinguishing, and yet follows an unskilful shepherd, and receives a false opinion for the truth, shall be punished.

9"Que comunhão tem a luz com as trevas? Ou Cristo com Belial? Ou que porção tem aquele que crê com um infiel? Ou o templo de Deus com os ídolos?" E da mesma maneira digo eu: que comunhão tem a verdade com a falsidade? ou justiça com injustiça? ou a doutrina verdadeira com a falsa?

9"What communion hath light with darkness? or Christ with Belial? Or what portion hath he that believeth with an infidel? or the temple of God with idols?" And in like manner say I, what communion hath truth with falsehood? or righteousness with unrighteousness? or true doctrine with that which is false?.
