Inácio aos Efésios 15

1Capítulo 15 - Exortação para confessar Cristo tanto pelo silêncio quanto pela fala.

1Chapter 15 — Exhortation to confess Christ by silence as well as speech.

2É melhor para um homem calar-se e ser cristão do que falar e não ser cristão.

2It is better for a man to be silent and be a Christian, than to talk and not to be one.

3É bom ensinar, se quem fala também age.

3It is good to teach, if he who speaks also acts.

4Há então um Mestre que falou e tudo foi feito; enquanto mesmo aquelas coisas que Ele fez em silêncio são dignas do Pai.

4There is then one Teacher, who spake and it was done; while even those things which He did in silence are worthy of the Father.

5Aquele que possui a palavra de Jesus é verdadeiramente capaz de ouvir até o Seu próprio silêncio, para que seja perfeito e possa agir enquanto fala e ser reconhecido pelo seu silêncio.

5He who possesses the word of Jesus, is truly able to hear even His very silence, that he may be perfect, and may both act as he speaks, and be recognised by his silence.

6Não há nada que esteja escondido de Deus, mas nossos próprios segredos estão perto dele.

6There is nothing which is hid from God, but our very secrets are near to Him.

7Façamos, portanto, todas as coisas como aqueles que O têm habitando em nós, para que possamos ser Seus templos, e Ele possa estar em nós como nosso Deus, o que de fato Ele é, e se manifestará diante de nossos rostos.

7Let us therefore do all things as those who have Him dwelling in us, that we may be His temples, and He may be in us as our God, which indeed He is, and will manifest Himself before our faces.

8Portanto, nós O amamos com justiça.

8Wherefore we justly love Him.

9É melhor para um homem calar-se e ser cristão do que falar e não ser cristão.

9It is better for a man to be silent and be a Christian, than to talk and not to be one.

10“O reino de Deus não está em palavras, mas em poder”.

10"The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power".

11Os homens “crêem com o coração e confessam com a boca”, um “para a justiça”, o outro “para a salvação”.

11Men "believe with the heart, and confess with the mouth," the one "unto righteousness," the other "unto salvation".

12É bom ensinar, se quem fala também age.

12It is good to teach, if he who speaks also acts.

13Pois aquele que “fazer e ensinar, esse será grande no reino”.

13For he who shall both "do and teach, the same shall be great in the kingdom".

14Nosso Senhor e Deus, Jesus Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo, primeiro fez e depois ensinou, como testemunha Lucas, “cujo louvor está no Evangelho em todas as Igrejas”.

14Our Lord and God, Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, first did and then taught, as Luke testifies, "whose praise is in the Gospel through all the Churches".

15Não há nada que esteja escondido do Senhor, mas nossos próprios segredos estão perto dele.

15There is nothing which is hid from the Lord, but our very secrets are near to Him.

16Façamos, portanto, todas as coisas como aqueles que O têm habitando em nós, para que possamos ser Seus templos, e Ele possa estar em nós como Deus.

16Let us therefore do all things as those who have Him dwelling in us, that we may be His temples, and He may be in us as God.

17Deixe Cristo falar em nós, assim como fez em Paulo.

17Let Christ speak in us, even as He did in Paul.

18Deixe o Espírito Santo nos ensinar a falar as coisas de Cristo da mesma maneira que Ele falou.

18Let the Holy Spirit teach us to speak the things of Christ in like manner as He did.
