1Capítulo 12 — Louvor dos Efésios.

1Chapter 12 — Praise of the Ephesians.

2Sei quem sou e para quem escrevo.

2I know both who I am, and to whom I write.

3Eu sou um homem condenado, vocês foram objetos de misericórdia; Estou sujeito ao perigo, vocês estão estabelecidos em segurança.

3I am a condemned man, ye have been the objects of mercy; I am subject to danger, ye are established in safety.

4Vocês são as pessoas por quem passam aqueles que são eliminados por causa de Deus.

4Ye are the persons through whom those pass that are cut off for the sake of God.

5Sois iniciados nos mistérios do Evangelho com Paulo, o santo, o martirizado, o merecidamente mais feliz, a cujos pés poderei ser encontrado, quando chegar a Deus; que em todas as suas epístolas faz menção de você em Cristo Jesus.

5Ye are initiated into the mysteries of the Gospel with Paul, the holy, the martyred, the deservedly most happy, at whose feet may I be found, when I shall attain to God; who in all his Epistles makes mention of you in Christ Jesus.

6Sei quem sou e para quem escrevo.

6I know both who I am, and to whom I write.

7Eu sou o insignificante Inácio, que tenho a minha sorte com aqueles que estão expostos ao perigo e à condenação.

7I am the very insignificant Ignatius, who have my lot with those who are exposed to danger and condemnation.

8Mas vocês foram objetos de misericórdia e estão estabelecidos em Cristo.

8But ye have been the objects of mercy, and are established in Christ.

9Eu sou alguém entregue à morte, mas o menor de todos aqueles que foram eliminados por causa de Cristo, “desde o sangue do justo Abel” até o sangue de Inácio.

9I am one delivered over to death, but the least of all those that have been cut off for the sake of Christ, "from the blood of righteous Abel" to the blood of Ignatius.

10Vocês são iniciados nos mistérios do Evangelho com Paulo, o santo, o martirizado, na medida em que ele era “um vaso escolhido”; a cujos pés posso ser encontrado, e aos pés dos demais santos, quando chegar a Jesus Cristo, que está sempre atento a você em Suas orações.

10Ye are initiated into the mysteries of the Gospel with Paul, the holy, the martyred, inasmuch as he was "a chosen vessel;" at whose feet may I be found, and at the feet of the rest of the saints, when I shall attain to Jesus Christ, who is always mindful of you in His prayers.
