1Este é o livro das gerações de Adão. No dia em que Deus criou o homem, à semelhança de Deus o fez.

1This {is} the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

2Homem e mulher os criou; e os abençoou e chamou o seu nome Adão, no dia em que foram criados.

2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

3E Adão viveu cento e trinta anos, e gerou um filho à sua semelhança, conforme a sua imagem, e pôs-lhe o nome de Sete.

3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat {a son} in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

4E foram os dias de Adão, depois que gerou a Sete, oitocentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

4And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

5E foram todos os dias que Adão viveu, novecentos e trinta anos, e morreu.

5And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

6E viveu Sete cento e cinco anos, e gerou a Enos.

6And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: {Enos: Heb. Enosh}

7E viveu Sete, depois que gerou a Enos, oitocentos e sete anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

7And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

8E foram todos os dias de Sete novecentos e doze anos, e morreu.

8And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

9E viveu Enos noventa anos, e gerou a Cainã.

9And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: {Cainan: Heb. Kenan}

10E viveu Enos, depois que gerou a Cainã, oitocentos e quinze anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

10And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

11E foram todos os dias de Enos novecentos e cinco anos, e morreu.

11And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

12E viveu Cainã setenta anos, e gerou a Maalaleel.

12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel: {Mahalaleel: Gr. Maleleel}

13E viveu Cainã, depois que gerou a Maalaleel, oitocentos e quarenta anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

13And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

14E foram todos os dias de Cainã novecentos e dez anos, e morreu.

14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

15E viveu Maalaleel sessenta e cinco anos, e gerou a Jerede.

15And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: {Jared: Heb. Jered}

16E viveu Maalaleel, depois que gerou a Jerede, oitocentos e trinta anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

16And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

17E foram todos os dias de Maalaleel oitocentos e noventa e cinco anos, e morreu.

17And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

18E viveu Jerede cento e sessenta e dois anos, e gerou a Enoque.

18And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

19E viveu Jerede, depois que gerou a Enoque, oitocentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

19And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

20E foram todos os dias de Jerede novecentos e sessenta e dois anos, e morreu.

20And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

21E viveu Enoque sessenta e cinco anos, e gerou a Matusalém.

21And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: {Methuselah: Gr. Mathusala}

22E andou Enoque com Deus, depois que gerou a Matusalém, trezentos anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

22And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

23E foram todos os dias de Enoque trezentos e sessenta e cinco anos.

23And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24E andou Enoque com Deus; e não apareceu mais, porquanto Deus para si o tomou.

24And Enoch walked with God: and he {was} not; for God took him.

25E viveu Matusalém cento e oitenta e sete anos, e gerou a Lameque.

25And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

26E viveu Matusalém, depois que gerou a Lameque, setecentos e oitenta e dois anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

26And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: {Lamech: Heb. Lemech}

27E foram todos os dias de Matusalém novecentos e sessenta e nove anos, e morreu.

27And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28E viveu Lameque cento e oitenta e dois anos, e gerou um filho,

28And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

29A quem chamou Noé, dizendo: Este nos consolará acerca de nossas obras e do trabalho de nossas mãos, por causa da terra que o Senhor amaldiçoou.

29And he called his name Noah, saying, This {same} shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. {Noah: Gr. Noe: that is Rest, or, Comfort}

30E viveu Lameque, depois que gerou a Noé, quinhentos e noventa e cinco anos, e gerou filhos e filhas.

30And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

31E foram todos os dias de Lameque setecentos e setenta e sete anos, e morreu.

31And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

32E era Noé da idade de quinhentos anos, e gerou Noé a Sem, Cão e Jafé.

32And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
