Gênesis 45

1Então José não se podia conter diante de todos os que estavam com ele; e clamou: Fazei sair daqui a todo o homem; e ninguém ficou com ele, quando José se deu a conhecer a seus irmãos.

1Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

2E levantou a sua voz com choro, de maneira que os egípcios o ouviam, e a casa de Faraó o ouviu.

2And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. {wept...: Heb. gave forth his voice in weeping}

3E disse José a seus irmãos: Eu sou José; vive ainda meu pai? E seus irmãos não lhe puderam responder, porque estavam pasmados diante da sua face.

3And Joseph said unto his brethren, I {am} Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. {troubled: or, terrified}

4E disse José a seus irmãos: Peço-vos, chegai-vos a mim. E chegaram-se; então disse ele: Eu sou José vosso irmão, a quem vendestes para o Egito.

4And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I {am} Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

5Agora, pois, não vos entristeçais, nem vos pese aos vossos olhos por me haverdes vendido para cá; porque para conservação da vida, Deus me enviou adiante de vós.

5Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. {nor...: Heb. neither let there be anger in your eyes}

6Porque já houve dois anos de fome no meio da terra, e ainda restam cinco anos em que não haverá lavoura nem sega.

6For these two years {hath} the famine {been} in the land: and yet {there are} five years, in the which {there shall} neither {be} earing nor harvest.

7Pelo que Deus me enviou adiante de vós, para conservar vossa sucessão na terra, e para guardar-vos em vida por um grande livramento.

7And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. {to preserve...: Heb. to put for you a remnant}

8Assim não fostes vós que me enviastes para cá, senão Deus, que me tem posto por pai de Faraó, e por senhor de toda a sua casa, e como regente em toda a terra do Egito.

8So now {it was} not you {that} sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

9Apressai-vos, e subi a meu pai, e dizei-lhe: Assim tem dito o teu filho José: Deus me tem posto por senhor em toda a terra do Egito; desce a mim, e não te demores;

9Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:

10E habitarás na terra de Gósen, e estarás perto de mim, tu e os teus filhos, e os filhos dos teus filhos, e as tuas ovelhas, e as tuas vacas, e tudo o que tens.

10And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:

11E ali te sustentarei, porque ainda haverá cinco anos de fome, para que não pereças de pobreza, tu e tua casa, e tudo o que tens.

11And there will I nourish thee; for yet {there are} five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.

12E eis que vossos olhos, e os olhos de meu irmão Benjamim, vêem que é minha boca que vos fala.

12And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that {it is} my mouth that speaketh unto you.

13E fazei saber a meu pai toda a minha glória no Egito, e tudo o que tendes visto, e apressai-vos a fazer descer meu pai para cá.

13And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.

14E lançou-se ao pescoço de Benjamim seu irmão, e chorou; e Benjamim chorou também ao seu pescoço.

14And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

15E beijou a todos os seus irmãos, e chorou sobre eles; e depois seus irmãos falaram com ele.

15Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.

16E esta notícia ouviu-se na casa de Faraó: Os irmãos de José são vindos; e pareceu bem aos olhos de Faraó, e aos olhos de seus servos.

16And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. {pleased...: Heb. was good in the eyes of Pharaoh}

17E disse Faraó a José: Dize a teus irmãos: Fazei isto: carregai os vossos animais e parti, tornai à terra de Canaã.

17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;

18E tornai a vosso pai, e às vossas famílias, e vinde a mim; e eu vos darei o melhor da terra do Egito, e comereis da fartura da terra.

18And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.

19A ti, pois, é ordenado: Fazei isto: tomai vós da terra do Egito carros para vossos meninos, para vossas mulheres, e para vosso pai, e vinde.

19Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

20E não vos pese coisa alguma dos vossos utensílios; porque o melhor de toda a terra do Egito será vosso.

20Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt {is} yours. {regard...: Heb. let not your eye spare, etc.}

21E os filhos de Israel fizeram assim. E José deu-lhes carros, conforme o mandado de Faraó; também lhes deu comida para o caminho.

21And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. {commandment: Heb. mouth}

22A todos lhes deu, a cada um, mudas de roupas; mas a Benjamim deu trezentas peças de prata, e cinco mudas de roupas.

22To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred {pieces} of silver, and five changes of raiment.

23E a seu pai enviou semelhantemente dez jumentos carregados do melhor do Egito, e dez jumentos carregados de trigo e pão, e comida para seu pai, para o caminho.

23And to his father he sent after this {manner}; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. {laden...: Heb. carrying}

24E despediu os seus irmãos, e partiram; e disse-lhes: Não contendais pelo caminho.

24So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

25E subiram do Egito, e vieram à terra de Canaã, a Jacó seu pai.

25And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,

26Então lhe anunciaram, dizendo: José ainda vive, e ele também é regente em toda a terra do Egito. E o seu coração desmaiou, porque não os acreditava.

26And told him, saying, Joseph {is} yet alive, and he {is} governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not. {Jacob's: Heb. his}

27Porém, havendo-lhe eles contado todas as palavras de José, que ele lhes falara, e vendo ele os carros que José enviara para levá-lo, reviveu o espírito de Jacó seu pai.

27And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:

28E disse Israel: Basta; ainda vive meu filho José; eu irei e o verei antes que morra.

28And Israel said, {It is} enough; Joseph my son {is} yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
