Gênesis 41

1E aconteceu que, ao fim de dois anos inteiros, Faraó sonhou, e eis que estava em pé junto ao rio.

1And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

2E eis que subiam do rio sete vacas, formosas à vista e gordas de carne, e pastavam no prado.

2And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

3E eis que subiam do rio após elas outras sete vacas, feias à vista e magras de carne; e paravam junto às outras vacas na praia do rio.

3And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the {other} kine upon the brink of the river.

4E as vacas feias à vista e magras de carne, comiam as sete vacas formosas à vista e gordas. Então acordou Faraó.

4And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

5Depois dormiu e sonhou outra vez, e eis que brotavam de um mesmo pé sete espigas cheias e boas.

5And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good. {rank: Heb. fat}

6E eis que sete espigas miúdas, e queimadas do vento oriental, brotavam após elas.

6And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

7E as espigas miúdas devoravam as sete espigas grandes e cheias. Então acordou Faraó, e eis que era um sonho.

7And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, {it was} a dream.

8E aconteceu que pela manhã o seu espírito perturbou-se, e enviou e chamou todos os adivinhadores do Egito, e todos os seus sábios; e Faraó contou-lhes os seus sonhos, mas ninguém havia que lhos interpretasse.

8And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but {there was} none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

9Então falou o copeiro-mor a Faraó, dizendo: Das minhas ofensas me lembro hoje:

9Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

10Estando Faraó muito indignado contra os seus servos, e pondo-me sob prisão na casa do capitão da guarda, a mim e ao padeiro-mor,

10Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, {both} me and the chief baker:

11Então tivemos um sonho na mesma noite, eu e ele; sonhamos, cada um conforme a interpretação do seu sonho.

11And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

12E estava ali conosco um jovem hebreu, servo do capitão da guarda, e contamos-lhe os nossos sonhos e ele no-los interpretou, a cada um conforme o seu sonho.

12And {there was} there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

13E como ele nos interpretou, assim aconteceu; a mim me foi restituído o meu cargo, e ele foi enforcado.

13And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

14Então mandou Faraó chamar a José, e o fizeram sair logo do cárcere; e barbeou-se e mudou as suas roupas e apresentou-se a Faraó.

14Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved {himself}, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. {brought...: Heb. made him run}

15E Faraó disse a José: Eu tive um sonho, e ninguém há que o interprete; mas de ti ouvi dizer que quando ouves um sonho o interpretas.

15And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and {there is} none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, {that} thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. {thou...: or, when thou hearest a dream thou canst interpret it}

16E respondeu José a Faraó, dizendo: Isso não está em mim; Deus dará resposta de paz a Faraó.

16And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, {It is} not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

17Então disse Faraó a José: Eis que em meu sonho estava eu em pé na margem do rio,

17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

18E eis que subiam do rio sete vacas gordas de carne e formosas à vista, e pastavam no prado.

18And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

19E eis que outras sete vacas subiam após estas, muito feias à vista e magras de carne; não tenho visto outras tais, quanto à fealdade, em toda a terra do Egito.

19And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

20E as vacas magras e feias comiam as primeiras sete vacas gordas;

20And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

21E entravam em suas entranhas, mas não se conhecia que houvessem entrado; porque o seu parecer era feio como no princípio. Então acordei.

21And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they {were} still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke. {eaten...: Heb. come to the inward parts of them}

22Depois vi em meu sonho, e eis que de um mesmo pé subiam sete espigas cheias e boas;

22And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

23E eis que sete espigas secas, miúdas e queimadas do vento oriental, brotavam após elas.

23And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, {and} blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: {withered: or, small}

24E as sete espigas miúdas devoravam as sete espigas boas. E eu contei isso aos magos, mas ninguém houve que mo interpretasse.

24And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told {this} unto the magicians; but {there was} none that could declare {it} to me.

25Então disse José a Faraó: O sonho de Faraó é um só; o que Deus há de fazer, mostrou-o a Faraó.

25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh {is} one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he {is} about to do.

26As sete vacas formosas são sete anos, as sete espigas formosas também são sete anos, o sonho é um só.

26The seven good kine {are} seven years; and the seven good ears {are} seven years: the dream {is} one.

27E as sete vacas feias à vista e magras, que subiam depois delas, são sete anos, e as sete espigas miúdas e queimadas do vento oriental, serão sete anos de fome.

27And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them {are} seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

28Esta é a palavra que tenho dito a Faraó; o que Deus há de fazer, mostrou-o a Faraó.

28This {is} the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God {is} about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

29E eis que vêm sete anos, e haverá grande fartura em toda a terra do Egito.

29Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

30E depois deles levantar-se-ão sete anos de fome, e toda aquela fartura será esquecida na terra do Egito, e a fome consumirá a terra;

30And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

31E não será conhecida a abundância na terra, por causa daquela fome que haverá depois; porquanto será gravíssima.

31And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it {shall be} very grievous. {grievous: Heb. heavy}

32E que o sonho foi repetido duas vezes a Faraó, é porque esta coisa é determinada por Deus, e Deus se apressa em fazê-la.

32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; {it is} because the thing {is} established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. {established...: or, prepared of God}

33Portanto, Faraó previna-se agora de um homem entendido e sábio, e o ponha sobre a terra do Egito.

33Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

34Faça isso Faraó e ponha governadores sobre a terra, e tome a quinta parte da terra do Egito nos sete anos de fartura,

34Let Pharaoh do {this}, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. {officers: or, overseers}

35E ajuntem toda a comida destes bons anos, que vêm, e amontoem o trigo debaixo da mão de Faraó, para mantimento nas cidades, e o guardem.

35And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

36Assim será o mantimento para provimento da terra, para os sete anos de fome, que haverá na terra do Egito; para que a terra não pereça de fome.

36And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. {perish...: Heb. be not cut off}

37E esta palavra foi boa aos olhos de Faraó, e aos olhos de todos os seus servos.

37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38E disse Faraó a seus servos: Acharíamos um homem como este em quem haja o espírito de Deus?

38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find {such a one} as this {is}, a man in whom the Spirit of God {is}?

39Depois disse Faraó a José: Pois que Deus te fez saber tudo isto, ninguém há tão entendido e sábio como tu.

39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, {there is} none so discreet and wise as thou {art}:

40Tu estarás sobre a minha casa, e por tua boca se governará todo o meu povo, somente no trono eu serei maior que tu.

40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. {be ruled: Heb. be armed, or, kiss}

41Disse mais Faraó a José: Vês aqui te tenho posto sobre toda a terra do Egito.

41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

42E tirou Faraó o anel da sua mão, e o pôs na mão de José, e o fez vestir de roupas de linho fino, e pôs um colar de ouro no seu pescoço.

42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; {fine...: or, silk}

43E o fez subir no segundo carro que tinha, e clamavam diante dele: Ajoelhai. Assim o pôs sobre toda a terra do Egito.

43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him {ruler} over all the land of Egypt. {Bow...: or, Tender father: Heb. Abrech}

44E disse Faraó a José: Eu sou Faraó; porém sem ti ninguém levantará a sua mão ou o seu pé em toda a terra do Egito.

44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I {am} Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

45E Faraó chamou a José de Zafenate-Panéia, e deu-lhe por mulher a Azenate, filha de Potífera, sacerdote de Om; e saiu José por toda a terra do Egito.

45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over {all} the land of Egypt. {Zaphnathpaaneah: which in the Coptic signifies, A revealer of secrets, or, The man to whom secrets are revealed} {priest: or, prince}

46E José era da idade de trinta anos quando se apresentou a Faraó, rei do Egito. E saiu José da presença de Faraó e passou por toda a terra do Egito.

46And Joseph {was} thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

47E nos sete anos de fartura a terra produziu abundantemente.

47And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.

48E ele ajuntou todo o mantimento dos sete anos, que houve na terra do Egito; e guardou o mantimento nas cidades, pondo nas mesmas o mantimento do campo que estava ao redor de cada cidade.

48And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which {was} round about every city, laid he up in the same.

49Assim ajuntou José muitíssimo trigo, como a areia do mar, até que cessou de contar; porquanto não havia numeração.

49And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for {it was} without number.

50E nasceram a José dois filhos (antes que viesse um ano de fome), que lhe deu Azenate, filha de Potífera, sacerdote de Om.

50And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. {priest: or, prince}

51E chamou José ao primogênito Manassés, porque disse: Deus me fez esquecer de todo o meu trabalho, e de toda a casa de meu pai.

51And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, {said he}, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. {Manasseh: that is, Forgetting}

52E ao segundo chamou Efraim; porque disse: Deus me fez crescer na terra da minha aflição.

52And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. {Ephraim: that is, Fruitful}

53Então acabaram-se os sete anos de fartura que havia na terra do Egito.

53And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.

54E começaram a vir os sete anos de fome, como José tinha dito; e havia fome em todas as terras, mas em toda a terra do Egito havia pão.

54And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

55E tendo toda a terra do Egito fome, clamou o povo a Faraó por pão; e Faraó disse a todos os egípcios: Ide a José; o que ele vos disser, fazei.

55And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.

56Havendo, pois, fome sobre toda a terra, abriu José tudo em que havia mantimento, e vendeu aos egípcios; porque a fome prevaleceu na terra do Egito.

56And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. {all the storehouses: Heb. all wherein was}

57E de todas as terras vinham ao Egito, para comprar de José; porquanto a fome prevaleceu em todas as terras.

57And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy {corn}; because that the famine was {so} sore in all lands.
