Gênesis 14

1E aconteceu nos dias de Anrafel, rei de Sinar, Arioque, rei de Elasar, Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, e Tidal, rei de Goim,

1And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;

2Que estes fizeram guerra a Bera, rei de Sodoma, a Birsa, rei de Gomorra, a Sinabe, rei de Admá, e a Semeber, rei de Zeboim, e ao rei de Belá (esta é Zoar).

2{That these} made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.

3Todos estes se ajuntaram no vale de Sidim (que é o Mar Salgado).

3All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.

4Doze anos haviam servido a Quedorlaomer, mas ao décimo terceiro ano rebelaram-se.

4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

5E ao décimo quarto ano veio Quedorlaomer, e os reis que estavam com ele, e feriram aos refains em Asterote-Carnaim, e aos zuzins em Hã, e aos emins em Savé-Quiriataim,

5And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that {were} with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim, {Shaveh...: or, The plain of Kiriathaim}

6E aos horeus no seu monte Seir, até El-Parã que está junto ao deserto.

6And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which {is} by the wilderness. {Elparan: or, The plain of Paran}

7Depois tornaram e vieram a En-Mispate (que é Cades), e feriram toda a terra dos amalequitas, e também aos amorreus, que habitavam em Hazazom-Tamar.

7And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which {is} Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.

8Então saiu o rei de Sodoma, e o rei de Gomorra, e o rei de Admá, e o rei de Zeboim, e o rei de Belá (esta é Zoar), e ordenaram batalha contra eles no vale de Sidim,

8And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same {is} Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;

9Contra Quedorlaomer, rei de Elão, e Tidal, rei de Goim, e Anrafel, rei de Sinar, e Arioque, rei de Elasar; quatro reis contra cinco.

9With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.

10E o vale de Sidim estava cheio de poços de betume; e fugiram os reis de Sodoma e de Gomorra, e caíram ali; e os restantes fugiram para um monte.

10And the vale of Siddim {was full of} slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.

11E tomaram todos os bens de Sodoma, e de Gomorra, e todo o seu mantimento e foram-se.

11And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.

12Também tomaram a Ló, que habitava em Sodoma, filho do irmão de Abrão, e os seus bens, e foram-se.

12And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.

13Então veio um, que escapara, e o contou a Abrão, o hebreu; ele habitava junto dos carvalhais de Manre, o amorreu, irmão de Escol, e irmão de Aner; eles eram confederados de Abrão.

13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these {were} confederate with Abram. {plain: Heb. plains}

14Ouvindo, pois, Abrão que o seu irmão estava preso, armou os seus criados, nascidos em sua casa, trezentos e dezoito, e os perseguiu até Dã.

14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained {servants}, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued {them} unto Dan. {armed: or, led forth} {trained: or, instructed}

15E dividiu-se contra eles de noite, ele e os seus criados, e os feriu, e os perseguiu até Hobá, que fica à esquerda de Damasco.

15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which {is} on the left hand of Damascus.

16E tornou a trazer todos os seus bens, e tornou a trazer também a Ló, seu irmão, e os seus bens, e também as mulheres, e o povo.

16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

17E o rei de Sodoma saiu-lhe ao encontro (depois que voltou de ferir a Quedorlaomer e aos reis que estavam com ele) até ao Vale de Savé, que é o vale do rei.

17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that {were} with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which {is} the king's dale.

18E Melquisedeque, rei de Salém, trouxe pão e vinho; e era este sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo.

18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he {was} the priest of the most high God.

19E abençoou-o, e disse: Bendito seja Abrão pelo Deus Altíssimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra;

19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed {be} Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20E bendito seja o Deus Altíssimo, que entregou os teus inimigos nas tuas mãos. E Abrão deu-lhe o dízimo de tudo.

20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

21E o rei de Sodoma disse a Abrão: Dá-me a mim as pessoas, e os bens toma para ti.

21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. {persons: Heb. souls}

22Abrão, porém, disse ao rei de Sodoma: Levantei minha mão ao Senhor, o Deus Altíssimo, o Possuidor dos céus e da terra,

22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23Jurando que desde um fio até à correia de um sapato, não tomarei coisa alguma de tudo o que é teu; para que não digas: Eu enriqueci a Abrão;

23That I will not {take} from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that {is} thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

24Salvo tão-somente o que os jovens comeram, e a parte que toca aos homens que comigo foram, Aner, Escol e Manre; estes que tomem a sua parte.

24Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.
