Gênesis 10

1Estas, pois, são as gerações dos filhos de Noé: Sem, Cão e Jafé; e nasceram-lhes filhos depois do dilúvio.

1Now these {are} the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

2Os filhos de Jafé são: Gomer, Magogue, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tiras.

2The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

3E os filhos de Gomer são: Asquenaz, Rifate e Togarma.

3And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

4E os filhos de Javã são: Elisá, Társis, Quitim e Dodanim.

4And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. {Dodanim: or, as some read it, Rodanim}

5Por estes foram repartidas as ilhas dos gentios nas suas terras, cada qual segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, entre as suas nações.

5By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

6E os filhos de Cão são: Cuxe, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã.

6And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

7E os filhos de Cuxe são: Sebá, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá; e os filhos de Raamá: Sebá e Dedã.

7And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

8E Cuxe gerou a Ninrode; este começou a ser poderoso na terra. 9

8And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

9E este foi poderoso caçador diante da face do Senhor; por isso se diz: Como Ninrode, poderoso caçador diante do Senhor.

9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

10E o princípio do seu reino foi Babel, Ereque, Acade e Calné, na terra de Sinar.

10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. {Babel: Gr. Babylon}

11Desta mesma terra saiu à Assíria e edificou a Nínive, Reobote-Ir, Calá,

11Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, {went...: or, he went out into Assyria} {the city...: or, the streets of the city}

12E Resen, entre Nínive e Calá (esta é a grande cidade).

12And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same {is} a great city.

13E Mizraim gerou a Ludim, a Anamim, a Leabim, a Naftuim,

13And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

14A Patrusim e a Casluim (donde saíram os filisteus) e a Caftorim.

14And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.

15E Canaã gerou a Sidom, seu primogênito, e a Hete;

15And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, {Sidon: Heb. Tzidon}

16E ao jebuseu, ao amorreu, ao girgaseu,

16And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,

17E ao heveu, ao arqueu, ao sineu,

17And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

18E ao arvadeu, ao zemareu, e ao hamateu, e depois se espalharam as famílias dos cananeus.

18And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.

19E foi o termo dos cananeus desde Sidom, indo para Gerar, até Gaza; indo para Sodoma e Gomorra, Admá e Zeboim, até Lasa.

19And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. {Gaza: Heb. Azzah}

20Estes são os filhos de Cão segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações.

20These {are} the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, {and} in their nations.

21E a Sem nasceram filhos, e ele é o pai de todos os filhos de Éber, o irmão mais velho de Jafé.

21Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were {children} born.

22Os filhos de Sem são: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude e Arã.

22The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. {Arphaxad: Heb. Arpachshad}

23E os filhos de Arã são: Uz, Hul, Geter e Más.

23And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

24E Arfaxade gerou a Selá; e Selá gerou a Éber.

24And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. {Salah: Heb. Shelah}

25E a Éber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, porquanto em seus dias se repartiu a terra, e o nome do seu irmão foi Joctã.

25And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one {was} Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name {was} Joktan. {Peleg: that is Division}

26E Joctã gerou a Almodá, a Selefe, a Hazarmavé, a Jerá,

26And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

27A Hadorão, a Usal, a Dicla,

27And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

28A Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,

28And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

29A Ofir, a Havilá e a Jobabe; todos estes foram filhos de Joctã.

29And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these {were} the sons of Joktan.

30E foi a sua habitação desde Messa, indo para Sefar, montanha do oriente.

30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.

31Estes são os filhos de Sem segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, nas suas terras, segundo as suas nações.

31These {are} the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.

32Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Noé segundo as suas gerações, nas suas nações; e destes foram divididas as nações na terra depois do dilúvio.

32These {are} the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
