Livro de Gade 16

1E aconteceu que, no primeiro dia do sétimo mês, no ano novo, no ano quatrocentos e setenta e oito depois que os filhos de Israel saíram da terra do Egito, no segundo ano do reinado do rei Salomão sobre Israel, tive uma visão da parte do Senhor, quando estava na fonte de Giom.

1And it came to pass on the first day of the seventh month, at New Year’s, in the four hundred and seventy-eighth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the second year of King Solomon’s reign over Israel, I had a vision from the LORD, when I was upon the Gihon spring.

2E levantei os olhos, e eis que os céus rolaram como um pergaminho, e vi a glória do Senhor, assentado num trono altíssimo.

2And I raised my eyes, and lo, the heavens rolled back like a scroll, and I saw the glory of the LORD, sitting on an extremely high throne.

3E aqui está a aparência do trono: doze degraus levavam ao trono (seis de ouro e seis de prata), e havia um quadrado nas costas do trono, como uma pedra de safira.

3And here is the appearance of the throne: twelve stairs led up to the throne (six of gold and six of silver), and there was a square back to the throne, like a sapphire stone.

4E ao seu lado direito havia três cadeiras e ao seu lado esquerdo quatro cadeiras perto do trono, como as sete que vêem o rosto do rei, cobertas de ouro, prata e pedras preciosas.

4And at its right side were three chairs and at its left side were four chairs near the throne, like the seven that see the king’s face, covered with gold and silver and precious stones.

5E a glória do Senhor teve a aparência do arco-íris, Sua aliança.

5And the glory of the LORD had the appearance like that of the rainbow, His covenant.

6E o exército do céu estava diante dele à sua direita e à sua esquerda, e Satanás estava ao lado deles, mas atrás deles.

6And the host of heaven were standing before Him on His right hand and on His left, and Satan was standing by them, but behind them.

7E então um homem vestido de linho trouxe diante da glória do Senhor três livros que continham os registros de cada homem.

7And then a man dressed in linen brought before the glory of the LORD three books that contained the records of every man.

8E ele leu o primeiro livro e continha as ações justas de Seu povo, e o Senhor disse: “A estes é concedida a vida eterna”.

8And he read the first book and it contained the just deeds of His people, and the LORD said, “These are granted eternal life.”

9E Satanás disse: “Quem são essas pessoas culpadas?” E o homem vestido de linho clamou a Satanás como um chifre de carneiro, dizendo: "Silêncio! Este dia é santo para o nosso Senhor."

9And Satan said, “Who are these guilty people?” And the man dressed in linen cried to Satan like a ram’s horn saying, “Silence! This day is holy to our Lord.”

10E ele leu o segundo livro, e ele continha os pecados não intencionais do Seu povo, e o Senhor disse: “Deixe esse livro de lado, mas guarde-o, até que passe um terço do mês, para ver o que eles farão”.

10And he read the second book, and it contained the unintentional sins of His people, and the LORD said, “Put that book aside, but save it, until one third of the month passes by, to see what they will do.”

11E ele leu o terceiro livro, e continha as más ações de Seu povo.

11And he read the third book, and it contained the wicked deeds of His people.

12E o Senhor disse a Satanás: "Esta é a sua parte. Pegue-os e faça com eles o que quiser".

12And the LORD said to Satan, “These are your share. Take them and do what you want with them.”

13E Satanás levou os ímpios para uma terra devastada para destruí-los lá.

13And Satan took the wicked to a waste land to destroy them there.

14E o homem vestido de linho gritou como chifre de carneiro, dizendo:

14And the man dressed in linen cried like a ram’s horn, saying:

15“Bem-aventurados os povos que conhecem o grito de alegria, ó Senhor, que andam na luz do Teu semblante.”

15“Blessed are the people who know the joyful shout, O LORD, who walk in the light of Your countenance.”

16E ouvi a voz do exército do céu regozijando-se e dizendo: “Mestre da Justiça, o Senhor dos Exércitos, todo o céu e a terra estão cheios da Tua glória”.

16And I heard the voice of the host of heaven rejoicing and saying, “Master of Justice, the LORD of hosts, the whole heaven and earth is full of Your glory.”

17E fiquei chocado com a visão, pois não sabia o que o Senhor tinha feito por mim.

17And I was shocked by the vision since I did not know what the LORD had done for me.

18Então um dos querubins voou até mim e colocou uma folha de oliveira na minha boca e disse: “Eis que isto tocou a tua boca, e a tua iniqüidade será tirada, e o teu pecado será perdoado.

18Then one of the cherubs flew up to me and he put an olive leaf on my mouth, and said, “Lo, this has touched your mouth, and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.

19E esta lei que viste é estatuto para Israel, e lei para o Deus de Abraão, e paz para Isaque, teu pai.

19And this law that you have seen is a statute for Israel, and a law to the God of Abraham, and peace unto Isaac your father.

20E o Senhor abençoará o seu povo na provação com paz eterna”.

20And the LORD will bless your people in the trial with everlasting peace.”

21E eu disse: “Amém. Que o Senhor nosso Deus faça isso por nós para todo o sempre”.

21And I said, “Amen. May the LORD our God do this for us forever and ever.”

22E o anjo respondeu: “Amém e Amém”.

22And the angel answered, “Amen and Amen.”
