Ezequiel 3

1Depois me disse: Filho do homem, come o que achares; come este rolo, e vai, fala à casa de Israel.

1Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

2Então abri a minha boca, e me deu a comer o rolo.

2So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

3E disse-me: Filho do homem, dá de comer ao teu ventre, e enche as tuas entranhas deste rolo que eu te dou. Então o comi, e era na minha boca doce como o mel.

3And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat {it}; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

4E disse-me ainda: Filho do homem, vai, entra na casa de Israel, e dize-lhe as minhas palavras.

4And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

5Porque tu não és enviado a um povo de estranha fala, nem de língua difícil, mas à casa de Israel;

5For thou {art} not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, {but} to the house of Israel; {of a...: Heb. deep of lip, and heavy of tongue}

6Nem a muitos povos de estranha fala, e de língua difícil, cujas palavras não possas entender; se eu aos tais te enviara, certamente te dariam ouvidos.

6Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee. {of a...: Heb. deep of lip, and heavy of language} {Surely...: or, If I had sent thee, etc. would they not have hearkened unto thee?}

7Mas a casa de Israel não te quererá dar ouvidos, porque não me querem dar ouvidos a mim; pois toda a casa de Israel é de fronte obstinada e dura de coração.

7But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel {are} impudent and hardhearted. {impudent...: Heb. stiff of forehead, and hard of heart}

8Eis que fiz duro o teu rosto contra os seus rostos, e forte a tua fronte contra a sua fronte.

8Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

9Fiz como diamante a tua fronte, mais forte do que a pederneira; não os temas, pois, nem te assombres com os seus rostos, porque são casa rebelde.

9As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they {be} a rebellious house.

10Disse-me mais: Filho do homem, recebe no teu coração todas as minhas palavras que te hei de dizer, e ouve-as com os teus ouvidos.

10Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

11Eia, pois, vai aos do cativeiro, aos filhos do teu povo, e lhes falarás e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS, quer ouçam quer deixem de ouvir.

11And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

12E levantou-me o Espírito, e ouvi por detrás de mim uma voz de grande estrondo, que dizia: Bendita seja a glória do SENHOR, desde o seu lugar.

12Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, {saying}, Blessed {be} the glory of the LORD from his place.

13E ouvi o ruído das asas dos seres viventes, que tocavam umas nas outras, e o ruído das rodas defronte deles, e o sonido de um grande estrondo.

13{I heard} also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing. {touched: Heb. kissed}

14Então o espírito me levantou, e me levou; e eu me fui amargurado, na indignação do meu Espírito; porém a mão do SENHOR era forte sobre mim.

14So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me. {in bitterness: Heb. bitter} {heat: Heb. hot anger}

15E fui a Tel-Abibe, aos do cativeiro, que moravam junto ao rio Quebar, e eu morava onde eles moravam; e fiquei ali sete dias, pasmado no meio deles.

15Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

16E sucedeu que, ao fim de sete dias, veio a palavra do Senhor a mim, dizendo:

16And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

17Filho do homem: Eu te dei por atalaia sobre a casa de Israel; e tu da minha boca ouvirás a palavra e avisá-los-ás da minha parte.

17Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

18Quando eu disser ao ímpio: Certamente morrerás; e tu não o avisares, nem falares para avisar o ímpio acerca do seu mau caminho, para salvar a sua vida, aquele ímpio morrerá na sua iniqüidade, mas o seu sangue, da tua mão o requererei.

18When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked {man} shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

19Mas, se avisares ao ímpio, e ele não se converter da sua impiedade e do seu mau caminho, ele morrerá na sua iniqüidade, mas tu livraste a tua alma.

19Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

20Semelhantemente, quando o justo se desviar da sua justiça, e cometer a iniqüidade, e eu puser diante dele um tropeço, ele morrerá: porque tu não o avisaste, no seu pecado morrerá; e suas justiças, que tiver praticado, não serão lembradas, mas o seu sangue, da tua mão o requererei.

20Again, When a righteous {man} doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. {righteousness which: Heb. righteousnesses}

21Mas, avisando tu o justo, para que não peque, e ele não pecar, certamente viverá; porque foi avisado; e tu livraste a tua alma.

21Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous {man}, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

22E a mão do Senhor estava sobre mim ali, e ele me disse: Levanta-te, e sai ao vale, e ali falarei contigo.

22And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

23E levantei-me, e saí ao vale, e eis que a glória do Senhor estava ali, como a glória que vi junto ao rio Quebar; e caí sobre o meu rosto.

23Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

24Então entrou em mim o Espírito, e me pôs em pé, e falou comigo, e me disse: Entra, encerra-te dentro da tua casa.

24Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

25E quanto a ti, ó filho do homem, eis que porão cordas sobre ti, e te ligarão com elas; não sairás, pois, ao meio deles.

25But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

26E eu farei que a tua língua se pegue ao teu paladar, e ficarás mudo, e não lhes servirás de repreendedor; porque eles são casa rebelde.

26And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they {are} a rebellious house. {a reprover: Heb. a man reproving}

27Mas, quando eu falar contigo, abrirei a tua boca, e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Quem ouvir ouça, e quem deixar de ouvir, deixe; porque eles são casa rebelde.

27But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they {are} a rebellious house.
