Êxodo 9

1Depois o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Vai a Faraó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o SENHOR Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva.

1Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

2Porque se recusares deixá-los ir, e ainda por força os detiveres,

2For if thou refuse to let {them} go, and wilt hold them still,

3Eis que a mão do Senhor será sobre teu gado, que está no campo, sobre os cavalos, sobre os jumentos, sobre os camelos, sobre os bois, e sobre as ovelhas, com pestilência gravíssima.

3Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which {is} in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: {there shall be} a very grievous murrain.

4E o Senhor fará separação entre o gado dos israelitas e o gado dos egípcios, para que nada morra de tudo o que for dos filhos de Israel.

4And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all {that is} the children's of Israel.

5E o Senhor assinalou certo tempo, dizendo: Amanhã fará o Senhor esta coisa na terra.

5And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

6E o Senhor fez isso no dia seguinte, e todo o gado dos egípcios morreu; porém do gado dos filhos de Israel não morreu nenhum.

6And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

7E Faraó enviou a ver, e eis que do gado de Israel não morrera nenhum; porém o coração de Faraó se agravou, e não deixou ir o povo.

7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

8Então disse o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão: Tomai vossas mãos cheias de cinza do forno, e Moisés a espalhe para o céu diante dos olhos de Faraó;

8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

9E tornar-se-á em pó miúdo sobre toda a terra do Egito, e se tornará em sarna, que arrebente em úlceras, nos homens e no gado, por toda a terra do Egito.

9And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth {with} blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

10E eles tomaram a cinza do forno, e puseram-se diante de Faraó, e Moisés a espalhou para o céu; e tornou-se em sarna, que arrebentava em úlceras nos homens e no gado;

10And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth {with} blains upon man, and upon beast.

11De maneira que os magos não podiam parar diante de Moisés, por causa da sarna; porque havia sarna nos magos, e em todos os egípcios.

11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

12Porém o Senhor endureceu o coração de Faraó, e não os ouviu, como o Senhor tinha dito a Moisés.

12And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

13Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Levanta-te pela manhã cedo, e põe-te diante de Faraó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva;

13And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

14Porque esta vez enviarei todas as minhas pragas sobre o teu coração, e sobre os teus servos, e sobre o teu povo, para que saibas que não há outro como eu em toda a terra.

14For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that {there is} none like me in all the earth.

15Porque agora tenho estendido minha mão, para te ferir a ti e ao teu povo com pestilência, e para que sejas destruído da terra;

15For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

16Mas, deveras, para isto te mantive, para mostrar meu poder em ti, e para que o meu nome seja anunciado em toda a terra.

16And in very deed for this {cause} have I raised thee up, for to shew {in} thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. {raised...: Heb. made thee stand}

17Tu ainda te exaltas contra o meu povo, para não o deixar ir?

17As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

18Eis que amanhã por este tempo farei chover saraiva mui grave, qual nunca houve no Egito, desde o dia em que foi fundado até agora.

18Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

19Agora, pois, envia, recolhe o teu gado, e tudo o que tens no campo; todo o homem e animal, que for achado no campo, e não for recolhido à casa, a saraiva cairá sobre eles, e morrerão.

19Send therefore now, {and} gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; {for upon} every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

20Quem dos servos de Faraó temia a palavra do Senhor, fez fugir os seus servos e o seu gado para as casas;

20He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

21Mas aquele que não tinha considerado a palavra do Senhor deixou os seus servos e o seu gado no campo.

21And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field. {regarded...: Heb. set not his heart unto}

22Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Estende a tua mão para o céu, e haverá saraiva em toda a terra do Egito, sobre os homens e sobre o gado, e sobre toda a erva do campo, na terra do Egito.

22And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

23E Moisés estendeu a sua vara para o céu, e o Senhor deu trovões e saraiva, e fogo corria pela terra; e o Senhor fez chover saraiva sobre a terra do Egito.

23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

24E havia saraiva, e fogo misturado entre a saraiva, tão grave, qual nunca houve em toda a terra do Egito desde que veio a ser uma nação.

24So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

25E a saraiva feriu, em toda a terra do Egito, tudo quanto havia no campo, desde os homens até aos animais; também a saraiva feriu toda a erva do campo, e quebrou todas as árvores do campo.

25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that {was} in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

26Somente na terra de Gósen, onde estavam os filhos de Israel, não havia saraiva.

26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel {were}, was there no hail.

27Então Faraó mandou chamar a Moisés e a Arão, e disse-lhes: Esta vez pequei; o Senhor é justo, mas eu e o meu povo ímpios.

27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD {is} righteous, and I and my people {are} wicked.

28Orai ao Senhor (pois que basta) para que não haja mais trovões de Deus nem saraiva; e eu vos deixarei ir, e não ficareis mais aqui.

28Intreat the LORD (for {it is} enough) that there be no {more} mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer. {mighty...: Heb. voices of God}

29Então lhe disse Moisés: Em saindo da cidade estenderei minhas mãos ao Senhor; os trovões cessarão, e não haverá mais saraiva; para que saibas que a terra é do Senhor.

29And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; {and} the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth {is} the LORD'S.

30Todavia, quanto a ti e aos teus servos, eu sei que ainda não temereis diante do Senhor Deus.

30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

31E o linho e a cevada foram feridos, porque a cevada já estava na espiga, e o linho na haste.

31And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley {was} in the ear, and the flax {was} bolled.

32Mas o trigo e o centeio não foram feridos, porque estavam cobertos.

32But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they {were} not grown up. {not grown...: Heb. hidden or, dark}

33Saiu, pois, Moisés da presença de Faraó, da cidade, e estendeu as suas mãos ao Senhor; e cessaram os trovões e a saraiva, e a chuva não caiu mais sobre a terra.

33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

34Vendo Faraó que cessou a chuva, e a saraiva, e os trovões, pecou ainda mais; e endureceu o seu coração, ele e os seus servos.

34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

35Assim o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não deixou ir os filhos de Israel, como o Senhor tinha dito por Moisés.

35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses. {by Moses: Heb. by the hand of Moses}
