Êxodo 11

1E o Senhor disse a Moisés: Ainda uma praga trarei sobre Faraó, e sobre o Egito; depois vos deixará ir daqui; e, quando vos deixar ir totalmente, a toda a pressa vos lançará daqui.

1And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague {more} upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let {you} go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2Fala agora aos ouvidos do povo, que cada homem peça ao seu vizinho, e cada mulher à sua vizinha, jóias de prata e jóias de ouro.

2Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

3E o Senhor deu ao povo graça aos olhos dos egípcios; também o homem Moisés era mui grande na terra do Egito, aos olhos dos servos de Faraó e aos olhos do povo.

3And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses {was} very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

4Disse mais Moisés: Assim o Senhor tem dito: À meia-noite eu sairei pelo meio do Egito;

4And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5E todo o primogênito na terra do Egito morrerá, desde o primogênito de Faraó, que haveria de assentar-se sobre o seu trono, até ao primogênito da serva que está detrás da mó, e todo o primogênito dos animais.

5And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that {is} behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6E haverá grande clamor em toda a terra do Egito, como nunca houve semelhante e nunca haverá;

6And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7Mas entre todos os filhos de Israel nem mesmo um cão moverá a sua língua, desde os homens até aos animais, para que saibais que o Senhor fez diferença entre os egípcios e os israelitas.

7But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

8Então todos estes teus servos descerão a mim, e se inclinarão diante de mim, dizendo: Sai tu, e todo o povo que te segue as pisadas; e depois eu sairei. E saiu da presença de Faraó ardendo em ira.

8And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger. {that follow...: Heb. that is at thy feet} {a great...: Heb. heat of anger}

9O Senhor dissera a Moisés: Faraó não vos ouvirá, para que as minhas maravilhas se multipliquem na terra do Egito.

9And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10E Moisés e Arão fizeram todas estas maravilhas diante de Faraó; mas o Senhor endureceu o coração de Faraó, que não deixou ir os filhos de Israel da sua terra.

10And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
