Evangelho de Pedro 3

1Depois, levaram dois ladrões e crucificaram o Senhor no meio deles, mas ele permanecia calado como se não sentisse dor alguma.

1Then they brought two robbers and crucified the Lord in the midst of them, but he remained silent as if he felt no pain.

2Quando prepararam a cruz escreveram em cima: 'Este é o rei de Israel.'

2When they set up the cross they wrote on it: 'This is the king of Israel.'

3Depositadas as vestes diante dele, dividiram-nas em lotes e deitaram os dados sobre elas.

3They laid his garments before him, divided them into lots and cast dice upon them.

4Um daqueles malfeitores, porém, repreendeu-os, dizendo: 'Nós sofremos assim pelas iniquidades que fizemos, mas este, que veio para ser o Salvador dos homens, em que pode havê-los prejudicado?'

4One of those malefactors, however, rebuked them, saying: 'We suffer thus for the iniquities we have committed, but this one, who came to be the Savior of men, in what can he have wronged them?'

5Indignados contra ele, ordenaram que não lhe quebrassem as pernas para que morresse entre tormentos.

5Indignant against him, they ordered that his legs should not be broken so that he might die in torment.
