Evangelho de Pedro 2

1Eles, segurando o Senhor, davam-lhe empurrões e diziam: 'Arrastemos o Filho de Deus, já que ele veio cair em nossas mãos.'

1They, holding the Lord, pushed him and said: 'Let us drag the Son of God, since he has fallen into our hands.'

2Depois vestiram-no de púrpura e fizeram com que ele se sentasse no tribunal, dizendo: 'Julga com equidade, ó rei de Israel.'

2Then they clothed him in purple and made him sit on the judgment seat, saying: 'Judge righteously, O king of Israel.'

3Um deles trouxe uma coroa de espinhos e colocou-a na cabeça do Senhor.

3One of them brought a crown of thorns and placed it on the head of the Lord.

4Alguns dos presentes cuspiram-lhe no rosto, enquanto outros davam-lhe bofetadas na face.

4Some of those present spat on his face, while others struck him on the cheeks.

5Outros ainda o feriam com um pau e havia quem lhe batesse, dizendo: 'Esta é a homenagem que rendemos ao Filho de Deus.'

5Others still wounded him with a rod and there were those who beat him, saying: 'This is the homage we render to the Son of God.'
