Evangelho de Nicodemos 8

1Assim, Jesus saiu do pretório acompanhado dos dois malfeitores. E puseram uma coroa de espinhos ao redor de suas têmporas.

1Thus, Jesus went out of the praetorium accompanied by the two malefactors. And they placed a crown of thorns around his temples.

2Enquanto isso, Jesus dizia: 'Pai, perdoai-os, porque não sabem o que fazem.'

2Meanwhile, Jesus said: 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.'

3E os pontífices zombaram dele, dizendo: 'Salvou os outros; salve-se, então, a si próprio; se este é o Filho de Deus, que desça da cruz.'

3And the chief priests mocked him, saying: 'He saved others; let him save himself then; if this is the Son of God, let him come down from the cross.'

4E um dos ladrões, Dimas, disse: 'Senhor, lembra-te de mim no teu reino.' E Jesus disse-lhe: 'Em verdade te digo que hoje estarás comigo no paraíso.'

4And one of the thieves, Dismas, said: 'Lord, remember me in your kingdom.' And Jesus said to him: 'Truly I say to you that today you will be with me in paradise.'

5Era a hora sexta quando as trevas se fecharam sobre a terra até a nona hora. E o véu do templo rasgou-se ao meio.

5It was the sixth hour when darkness closed over the earth until the ninth hour. And the veil of the temple was rent in two.

6Jesus, com voz grave, disse: 'Pai, em tuas mãos entrego o meu espírito.' E entregou sua alma.

6Jesus, with a loud voice, said: 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' And he gave up his soul.

7O centurião disse: 'Este homem era justo.' E a multidão passou a bater no peito.

7The centurion said: 'This man was just.' And the multitude began to beat their breasts.
