1Outros testemunharam: 'Ele curou leprosos, arqueados e hemorrágicas com uma palavra.'

1Others testified: 'He healed lepers, the bent over and those with hemorrhages with a word.'

2Uma mulher chamada Berenice (Verônica) disse: 'Encontrando-me doente com hemorragia por doze anos, toquei a extremidade de seu manto e fui curada.'

2A woman named Berenice (Veronica) said: 'Being ill with hemorrhage for twelve years, I touched the hem of his garment and was healed.'

3Outros afirmaram: 'Este homem é profeta e os demônios submetem-se a ele.'

3Others affirmed: 'This man is a prophet and the demons are subject to him.'

4Outros afirmaram que havia ressuscitado Lázaro do sepulcro, defunto já de quarenta dias.

4Others affirmed that he had raised Lazarus from the tomb, already dead for forty days.

5Pilatos disse: 'Por que vos empenhais em derramar sangue inocente?'

5Pilate said: 'Why are you so eager to shed innocent blood?'

6Os judeus gritaram: 'A Barrabás!' E Pilatos disse: 'Que farei, pois, de Jesus, o chamado Cristo?' Os judeus responderam: 'Que seja crucificado!'

6The Jews shouted: 'Barabbas!' And Pilate said: 'What then shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?' The Jews answered: 'Let him be crucified!'

7E Pilatos lavou suas mãos dizendo: 'Sou inocente do sangue deste justo; vós vereis.' Os judeus disseram: 'Seu sangue sobre nós e sobre nossos filhos.'

7And Pilate washed his hands saying: 'I am innocent of the blood of this just man; you will see to it.' The Jews said: 'His blood be upon us and upon our children.'
