Evangelho de Nicodemos 3

1Pilatos escolheu doze homens fortes para sustentar os estandartes quando Jesus entrasse novamente.

1Pilate chose twelve strong men to hold the standards when Jesus entered again.

2E caminhando sobre o manto, Jesus entrou. Novamente os estandartes se dobraram e adoraram Jesus.

2And walking upon the cloak, Jesus entered. Again the standards bent down and worshiped Jesus.

3Quando Pilatos viu a cena, encheu-se de medo e dispôs-se a deixar o tribunal.

3When Pilate saw the scene, he was filled with fear and prepared to leave the tribunal.

4Mas sua mulher enviou-lhe esta carta: 'Não te envolvas com esse justo, pois durante a noite sofri muito por sua causa.'

4But his wife sent him this letter: 'Have nothing to do with that just man, for during the night I suffered much because of him.'

5Os judeus responderam a Pilatos: 'Não te dissemos que é um mágico? Sem dúvida enviou um sono fantástico a tua mulher.'

5The Jews answered Pilate: 'Did we not tell you that he is a magician? No doubt he sent a fantastic dream to your wife.'

6Pilatos então chamou Jesus e lhe disse: 'Como é que estes testemunham contra ti? Não dizes nada?'

6Pilate then called Jesus and said to him: 'How is it that these testify against you? Do you say nothing?'

7Jesus respondeu: 'Se não tivessem poder para isso, não diriam nada, pois cada um é dono da sua boca para falar coisas boas e más.'

7Jesus answered: 'If they had not the power for this, they would say nothing, for each one is master of his mouth to speak good things and bad.'
