Evangelho de Nicodemos 2

1Os judeus disseram a Pilatos: 'Rogamos à tua autoridade que ele seja apresentado diante do teu tribunal.'

1The Jews said to Pilate: 'We beg your authority that he be presented before your tribunal.'

2Pilatos chamou o mensageiro para dizer-lhe: 'Que me seja apresentado aqui Jesus, com toda a deferência.'

2Pilate called the messenger to say to him: 'Let Jesus be presented here to me, with all deference.'

3O mensageiro saiu, e logo que identificou Jesus, o adorou; depois tirou o manto e estendeu-o no chão, dizendo: 'Senhor, passa por cima e entra, que o governador te chama.'

3The messenger went out, and as soon as he identified Jesus, he worshiped him; then he removed his cloak and spread it on the ground, saying: 'Lord, pass over this and enter, for the governor calls you.'

4Os judeus, vendo o que o mensageiro havia feito, puseram-se a gritar contra Pilatos.

4The Jews, seeing what the messenger had done, began to cry out against Pilate.

5Pilatos chamou o mensageiro e lhe disse: 'Por que fizeste isso?' O mensageiro respondeu: 'Quando me enviaste a Jerusalém vi os filhos dos hebreus aclamando-o com ramos nas mãos.'

5Pilate called the messenger and said to him: 'Why did you do this?' The messenger answered: 'When you sent me to Jerusalem I saw the children of the Hebrews acclaiming him with branches in their hands.'

6Quando Jesus entrava, os que seguravam os estandartes inclinaram-se e adoraram a Jesus.

6When Jesus entered, those who held the standards bowed down and worshiped Jesus.

7Os judeus que presenciaram isso começaram a gritar contra os que portavam as bandeiras.

7The Jews who witnessed this began to cry out against those who carried the banners.
