1Jesus disse aos apóstolos: 'Esperai-me neste lugar, porque hoje se oferece um sacrifício no paraíso.'

1Jesus said to the apostles: 'Wait for me in this place, because today a sacrifice is offered in paradise.'

2Bartolomeu perguntou: 'Qual é o sacrifício que se oferece hoje no paraíso?'

2Bartholomew asked: 'What is the sacrifice that is offered today in paradise?'

3Jesus respondeu: 'As almas dos justos, que saíram do corpo, vão entrar hoje no Éden.'

3Jesus answered: 'The souls of the righteous, who have left the body, are going to enter Eden today.'

4'E, se eu não estiver lá presente, não poderão entrar.'

4'And, if I am not there present, they will not be able to enter.'

5Bartolomeu continuou: 'Quantas almas saem diariamente deste mundo?'

5Bartholomew continued: 'How many souls leave this world daily?'

6Jesus respondeu: 'Trinta mil.'

6Jesus answered: 'Thirty thousand.'

7'E quantas almas nascem diariamente? Uma só a mais do que as que saem.'

7'And how many souls are born daily? One more than those that leave.'
