1Estes são os filhos da província, que subiram do cativeiro, dentre os exilados, que Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, tinha transportado a babilônia, e tornaram a Jerusalém e a Judá, cada um para a sua cidade;

1Now these {are} the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;

2Os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesua, Neemias, Seraías, Reelaías, Mardoqueu, Bilsã, Mizpar, Bigvai, Reum e Baaná. O número dos homens do povo de Israel:

59Também estes subiram de Tel-Melá e Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adã e Imer; porém não puderam provar que as suas famílias e a sua linhagem eram de Israel:

59And these {were} they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, {and} Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they {were} of Israel: {Addan: also called, Addon} {seed: or, pedigree}

60Os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois.

60The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.

61E dos filhos dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomou mulher das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.

61And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:

62Estes procuraram o seu registro entre os que estavam arrolados nas genealogias, mas não se acharam nelas; assim, por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.

62These sought their register {among} those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. {were they...: Heb. they were polluted from the priesthood}

63E o governador lhes disse que não comessem das coisas consagradas, até que houvesse sacerdote com Urim e com Tumim.

63And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim. {Tirshatha: or, governor}

64Toda esta congregação junta foi de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,

64The whole congregation together {was} forty and two thousand three hundred {and} threescore,

65Afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; também tinha duzentos cantores e cantoras.

65Beside their servants and their maids, of whom {there were} seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and {there were} among them two hundred singing men and singing women.

66Os seus cavalos, setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;

66Their horses {were} seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;

67Os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; os jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.

67Their camels, four hundred thirty and five; {their} asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68E alguns dos chefes dos pais, vindo à casa do Senhor, que habita em Jerusalém, deram ofertas voluntárias para a casa de Deus, para a estabelecerem no seu lugar.

68And {some} of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which {is} at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place:

69Conforme as suas posses, deram para o tesouro da obra, em ouro, sessenta e uma mil dracmas, e em prata cinco mil libras, e cem vestes sacerdotais.

69They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.

70E habitaram os sacerdotes e os levitas, e alguns do povo, tanto os cantores, como os porteiros, e os netinins, nas suas cidades; como também todo o Israel nas suas cidades.

70So the priests, and the Levites, and {some} of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
