Escada de Jacó 9

1Agora, na sua vinda, imagens de bronze (bezerros de bronze) e de pedra e todas as coisas esculpidas emitirão sua voz por três dias. E eles anunciam aos sábios e os deixam saber o que acontecerá (ou está acontecendo) na terra, e pela estrela saberão o caminho para ele, quando virem na terra aquele que os anjos não veem acima.

1Now at his coming will images of brass (al. calves of brass) and stone and all graven things utter their voice for three days long. And they announce to the wise men and let them know what will befall (or is befalling) on earth, and by the star will they know the way to him, when they see him upon earth whom the angels see not above.

2Então o Todo-Poderoso será encontrado em um corpo na terra e envolvido pelos braços de um mortal, e ele renovará o estado do homem e vivificará (Adão e) Eva que morreram através do fruto da árvore.

2Then will the Almighty be found in a body on the earth, and encompassed by the arms of a mortal, and he reneweth the state of man and quickeneth (Adam and) Eve that died through the fruit of the tree.

3Então o engano do ímpio será vencido, e todos os ídolos cairão sobre seus rostos, pois serão envergonhados por aquele que é adornado com honra, porque fez invenções mentirosas.

3Then will the deceit of the godless one be overcome, and all idols fall on their faces, for they will be put to shame by one who is adorned with honour, because they made lying inventions.

4Doravante eles não terão poder para governar ou dar profecias, pois sua honra lhes será tirada e permanecerão sem glória.

4Thenceforth will they not have power to rule or to give prophecies, for their honour will be taken from them, and they will remain without glory.

5Pois aquele (o filho) que veio tira deles o poder e a força e recompensa a Abraão a verdade (justiça) que ele lhe prometeu.

5For he (the child) that is come taketh the power and might from them and recompenseth to Abraham the truth (righteousness) which he promised him.

6Então ele (ou Para esta criança) arredonda tudo o que é afiado, e toda coisa áspera o alisa, e ele lança toda a injustiça nas profundezas do mar: e ele faz maravilhas no céu e na terra.

6Then he (or For this child) roundeth off all that is sharp, and every rough thing maketh he smooth, and he casteth all unrighteousness into the depths of the sea: and he doeth wonders in heaven and on the earth.

7E ele será ferido no meio da casa do amado (ou da casa amada: evidentemente “a casa de seus amigos”, Zacarias xiii. 6).

7And he will be wounded in the midst of the house of the beloved (or the beloved house: evidently "the house of his friends," Zechariah xiii. 6).

8Mas quando ele é ferido, então também se aproxima a salvação e o fim de toda corrupção.

8But when he is wounded, then also the saving and the end of all corruption draweth near.

9Pois aqueles que o feriram receberão uma ferida que não será curada para sempre.

9For they that have wounded him shall themselves receive a wound which shall not be healed for them for ever.

10Mas o ferido será adorado por todas as criaturas, e nele muitos terão esperança, e em todos os lugares, e entre todos os gentios, ele será conhecido.

10But the wounded one shall all creatures worship, and upon him shall many hope, and everywhere, and among all the Gentiles, shall he be known.

11Mas aqueles que conhecem o seu nome não serão envergonhados. E seu próprio poder e seus anos não falharão para sempre.

11But they that have known his name shall not be put to shame. And his own might and his years shall not fail for ever.
