Epístola de Barnabé 9

1Porque o profeta fala em parábola do Senhor. Quem entenderá, senão o sábio e instruído que ama seu Senhor?

1For the prophet speaks a parable of the Lord. Who shall understand, except the wise and learned who loves his Lord?

2Já que então ele nos renovou pelo perdão dos pecados, fez-nos outro tipo.

2Since then he has renewed us by the remission of sins, he made us another type.

3Para que tenhamos a alma de criancinhas, como se nos recriasse.

3That we should have the soul of little children, as if he were creating us afresh.

4Porque a escritura fala de nós, quando diz ao Filho: Façamos o homem segundo nossa imagem e semelhança.

4For the scripture speaks concerning us, when it says to the Son: Let us make man according to our image and likeness.

5E que eles governem sobre as feras da terra e as aves do céu e os peixes do mar.

5And let them rule over the beasts of the earth and the birds of heaven and the fish of the sea.

6E o Senhor disse ao ver nossa bela forma: Crescei e multiplicai-vos e enchei a terra.

6And the Lord said, seeing our beautiful form: Increase and multiply and fill the earth.

7Estas coisas foram ditas ao Filho.

7These things were said to the Son.

8Novamente vos mostrarei como o Senhor fala a nós.

8Again I will show you how the Lord speaks to us.
